@antonioferreirakaspers6417 Wow! Talk about distorted and downright untrue statements. First of all, McLaren was no more than another test driver hired to assist Miles in evaluating the GT 40 - he did no design work on this car whatsoever, but supplied feedback to Shelby American on the car's behavior at speed. I don't know who you feel "hated" Miles, but that is total B.S. too! Then you say "the driver with the better car is always the winner." That statement alone tells me you DON"T know motor racing as you would try to have others believe. A perfect example was Tazio Nuvolari winning the 1935 German GP in a very outdated, underpowered Alfa Romeo, soundly defeating the much more powerful and far superior machines of the Reich! Great drivers, sometimes with inferior cars, have won more races than you know! Finally, you try to get us to believe Ford "used" Miles? They paid him more money to drive than he had ever seen before, and he certainly needed money with the IRS bearing down on him for not paying taxes. If you're going to tell the story, you really need to extract the many personal feelings you have shown and try reading factual information.

@Orcawhale1 - It is generally accepted by many that old Enzo never had any real intention of selling to Ford, but rather used that approach to convince either the Italian government, or more likely, Fiat, to purchase them and get the valuable money he needed to continue his ever increasingly expensive racing programs. Do you really believe a proud, small Italian company would sell out to a massive American company that really had nothing in common with it? Enzo was looking for more funds to use in his racing programs, which by then were bleeding him dry! Also, while Enzo likely used different words to slam Ford, he did do just that, and then got up and walked out to go to lunch, leaving the Ford reps sitting there. Talk about being disrespectful! Ford already had deals with Lotus and Colin Chapman. so they needed to have a hand in determining what races Ferrari could and couldn't compete in to avoid the obvious friction that would have resulted.

@jjravl Wow! That has to be one of the best examples of a completely unqualified, hearsay pile of manure I have ever heard! "Ford was never a racing company." That is clearly a joke as Ford Motor Co was founded 2 weeks after Henry Ford and an assistant engineer won a race with "999", a racer that the two of them designed + built! It's a fact that Ford has been involved in many more varieties of racing, world wide, than any other American manufacturer. Ford didn't buy Shelby....Shelby went to them for engines after being turned down by General Motors. Ford didn't have any financial or other involvement with the movie at all! "They released another version of the......Ford GT (the F40 is a Ferrari, numb nuts). The newest Ford GT won Le Mans in the GTLM Class in 2017 and has achieved 19 victories, including a Class Championship, in the IMSA WeatherTech series alone. Stop your unsubstantiated crap slinging and stick to XBox toys, as you have no clue as to what you're blabbering about! Oh, we have all heard of Shelby and Miles, but that guy, what did you say his name was...... Webber? He's a complete mystery! By the way, what completely honest and forthright country are you from?
