Gravity works the same on all points of the globe and "upside down" is a direction relative to another point of perception "Down" is always the direction gravity pulls us because it's always measured by the direction objects fall (with "up" being opposite that direction. When gravity pulls the same direction at all points on globe (toward center of that globe), there is no "upside down". This is first grade science. Please grasp it.

The measures they take to keep the room sanitized, the measures they take to keep the rocks in the same atmospheric pressure and makeup as the moon at all times, the measures they take to track literally every tiny piece of rock, why someone would waste 35+ years of their lives playing with fake rocks and keeping up with fake useless protocols, and most of all...why anyone would pay someone for 35+ years to basically play with play dough? People in Australia, America, Europe, Russia, China, etc. In EVERY video...the view is same earth below with the horizon being equal distance away in all directions. With that, all these balloons come back down to within 5 miles of where they started. So, on a flat earth, they all rise to the same exact point so that the horizon is equally distance in all directions (otherwise you would inevitably be able to see the ice wall and over it from places like Australia at this height no? Certainly someone would have done this to show the edge of the earth by now) and then they all independent of human interaction fall back down in different directions finding their way back to where they each began respectively (physically impossible), or they each fly up from a certain point on the globe, and as it's a globe, the horizon naturally appears equally distant in all directions no matter where you are at on the globe, and then the balloons simply fall relatively straight back down landing a few miles away from where they began at most.

  11. Well, in short, modern technology has removed the need for humans to think. I, unfortunately, know of about 5-10 Flat Earthers and they all operate the same. They gather information from only sources that confirm their ideas, they watch Flerf documentaries that directly feed their confirmation bias, and then regurgitate what they heard on the documentary as hard proof of concept. Never once along the way thinking "I see there are cruises and flights that can get me to Antarctica, perhaps I can go prove this 24hr sun thing myself..."

  12.  @ct7853  Except we have. You simply don't want to believe it. Humans saw earth from the moon. We have live feed of the earth from space right this moment. Many humans have seen the earth. Humans are on the ISS right now experiencing multiple sun rises a day while looking down on a clearly rotating round earth. You can choose not to believe any of it, but its still real. Nothing haunts me at all. I don't think about it, and I can see it for myself via live feed. It's there, it's live, it contradicts everything you believe. Given that, I can see why you NEED it to be fake. It's just not though.

Lead paint protected us from x-ray weapons and it was eliminated not because it was unhealthy but for the former idea. Flat earth, Trump being the be all end all (I'm a fan personally, but he is anything but the be all end all), you name it they follow the conspiracy.

Hence the reason NOTHING can be confirmed if you don't see if with your own eyes. Faulty as those eyes tend to be anyway in reality. The whole ideology rests on a mouth foaming distrust of all other humans than ones self, and the incessant desire to find abjectly evil intent in every minute detail if life.

Place your hand in front of the light itself...and that dark silhouette of your hand you see? That's your solar eclipse. If the moon is the equivalent of the sun in terms of light...we can't have lunar eclipses...but we do.

  29.  @tjjones621  Wierdly enough, there's other parts of the Bible, like Tithing, where they do understand that it, it modern society, does not literally mean you must grow a crop and bring the first cucumbers/tomatoes/etc...to the storehouse. They know it's wise to interpret THAT part as the writers having been in a very agricultural society where food and cattle were largely used to barter. Today we use our income of course. How they can figure out in THAT instance that the context of the world around one matters when tithing...but not at all when looking through a freaking telescope...blows my mind.

  30.  @Krugis  I can see that to an extent. God is infallible, Jesus was/is infallible, and the truths within the bible given through God the father, son, and holy spirit are infallible. The idea that literal stars will fall from the sky, however, MUST be understood to be either metaphoric as we know stars can not physically fall from the sky. We know there's no physical dragon flying around, etc. Tithing is understood to be certain ways in certain societies, and we need to be ok with the fact that other things too were described in a way that only someone in an ancient society could describe from a limited view point.

  33. Exactly. 90% of the reason most people DON'T experience this is because they spend far more time inside when it's cold, and they cover their bodies up A LOT more when outside if it's cold, thus less skin is exposed to the sun for burning or tanning.

  34. Reality of Atlantic hurricanes is that their natural motion in the northern hemisphere is to begin in the west, move east, and then hook back north/northeast on fronts. Those that enter the gulf from the Atlantic do this every single year. If they can enter the gulf in a westward direction, and get picked up and moved north/northeast on a front...they can just as easily form WHERE they normally begin turning north/north east...and travel that direction.

  47. As an evangelical Christian, I have grown to understand some things from a scientific perspective. In keeping everything in perspective of my faith, I can fully accept that God inspired scripture AND created the basic laws of physics and other laws we can observe and endlessly test around us. The idea of the universe being billions of years old doesn't necessarily fly in the face of Scripture. Scripture is clear when it says to God, a day is like a 1000 years and a thousand years like a day. Therefore, it is entirely feasible that, what God considered a day in the bible...could easily be equivalent to what we know as millions or billions of years. BLOWS my mind when Christians fall in to the flat earth nonsense for that matter, when verifiable scientific laws around us dictate that earth MUST be a sphere. This in addition to any photo or video of the earth ever taken lol! Scientific laws and basic observation tell us the universe is expanding, and therefore that it HAS to be expanding from what was once a singular point that therefore contained everything in the universe. I differ in the reasoning for that singular point and how/why it was there. As we know matter and energy can not be created or destroyed according to the laws within this physical universe we find ourselves in, it stands to reason that the singular point all matter and energy was once in must have been held in a place outside of that physical universe. At this point, what science tries to explain as possibly alien life, or a second universe, I would describe as God. Either way, it would require an unmovable mover of sorts that is not bound to the laws and physics of this universe. I think, if one actually studies scripture well enough, Science and Scripture actually support each other rather than starkly contradict eachother.

It (should) be common knowledge that the entire Bible from front to back is not intended to be a literal historical account. I think the issue is when Christians mix up parable and historical.

The point being "X is proof of a flat earth!" and points 85-95 are all repeating examples of that one point as if they are different points. Fuckin A, I feel bad for whoever forked over their money for this. But then again, I can see why. Dumb people.
