The single best thing that can help this is a single statement: "No more Covid payments, no more restrictions. Go work if you want money."
375
Man she nailed it here. Manchin is not serving the Democrat party. He is not serving The Squad. He is serving the people of West VA. If they don't want it, the party in DC can kick rocks.
366
That statement confirms: Our enemies have no fear of us, our allies have no faith in us.
332
He works for the American people. Imagine your boss says "Hey, have you looked up the numbers for this report? If not, why haven't you?" and you just smile at them and walk away with no answer....You will be polishing up your resume within 5 mins. It blows my mind that he can just literally walk away from any question he doesn't like....and get away with it.

If it meant we stopped buying from Russia and actively began taking steps to utilize our own oil, I would be ok with higher fuel prices for a few months. But to have them high AND still be buying them from Russia...not acceptable.
96
Forcing a more expensive labor force WILL force a more expensive product for the customer, thus nullifying any pay increase altogether.
83
Right. Imagine what would happen with out a cheat sheet that has 5 word answers already on it.
49
It's more the fact that....most people can't AFFORD EV's...not so much that we just don't want them. We also don't really want em...but not being able to afford it anyway kinda helps. I'm more concerned with the fact that those who are supposedly the brightest among us in government...can NOT seem to grasp the idea that someone making $30,000/year gross...can not take on an $800/mth car payment...
48
That attitude comes from one thing. Believing you are above the court.
39
Must be where AOC got the idea that one should be "morally" right regardless of the facts...
34
Waiting for Abrams to claim this one was stolen from her too hahah!
29
Democrats figuratively tying Manchin up and tossing him off the cliff over this signals they know they will never get the deal. You don't burn anyone you may have a chance with.
27
There is NO chance in hell that Biden steps foot on a debate stage.
26
Polling is absolutely INSANE this go round. The back and forth, even at this point, is just insane.
23
There's gaffes...and then there are gaffe's on the literal world stage in front of world leaders that are depending on America for so much. It drastically damages their confidence in America.
22
@alexp8495 But also, you want people to work? How about we don't fire people who DO want to work because they would rather not get injected? That's at least a fair starting point.
21
Democrats, for some reason, think in despite all this, peoples main focus should be abortion and gun laws. It's not happening. If my house is on fire, I can't be made concerned for the guy across the street that tripped and fell. Meaning, if my baby is going hungry right now...my vote will not be based on an abortion decision on the other end of the nation. It's just not. I'm 100% voting to ensure my baby is fed.
19
It would take ONE politician cutting the red tape there to get workers to flood back in and move the stuff...but they refuse to do it.
19
Tight polls tend to favor Republicans not Democrats. The fact that the Republican candidate is actually AHEAD right now...means his is even further ahead than that. Probably not a ton, but still. All Trump has to do is play it cool at the debate, be presidential, and most importantly...LET BIDEN TALK. The more Biden talks, the more gaffes there are.
18
Oh hell yeah. This is potentially is last one. The most important. They are gonna jack him up with absolutely everything they can. His body will be 70% caffeine and No-Doz.
17
Cause there's no shortage of jobs to be had. That excuse can not be made.
14
I just find it weird to require the kids to essentially stick their heads in a CNN programming box for 10 mins a day every day...
14
Can you IMAGINE if Biden routinely had to answer off the cuff questions!! hahahahah! Without the childrens storybook style cheat sheet...whoo boy. Truth is, be it a Republican OR Democrat president...America DESERVES a press that can adequately press and challenge them with questions. We, as Americans, DESERVE to know our president can provide good answers to hard questions. To purposely make things easy on them implies it is understood they can not handle the tough stuff.
13
Disney board room: What can we do to solidify ourselves as being the most family friendly and kid friendly place? What if we place ourselves directly between 97% of our customer base and their kids? Yeah, lets do it.
13
You'd be insane to think paying a grill cook $50/hr will NOT cause the food he is cooking to be more expensive...
12
I hate that we all sink with them, but if it means more people waking up to that trash in the short run...I'm ok with it happening. Hopefully this leads to a drastic result in the ballot box.
12
Turns out a lot of Hispanics that came here legally REALLY don't like it when others jump the line and sneak in.
11
7.59/gallon in Cali! How the hell can those people still vote for this crap!
11
@patriciakidd5358 It's pretty simple, if the entire system has broken down...and it has, and my shelf is empty because nothing is being delivered, I have nothing to generate the revenue needed to pay employees more even if I wanted to. You do see that don't you?
10
If energy costs come down, ALL costs come down as it all rests on the price of energy.
10
@Wary_Of_Extremes I'd argue, as minimum wage is intended to provide minimum standards of living, the issue is not minimum wage. If inflation has well outpaced minimum wage, you place the blame squarely on inflation. If water is filling the boat, the solution is not to get a bigger bucket. The solution is to slow down and eventually stop the water from coming in. Min wage was never intended to support a family with, pay a mortgage or rent with, etc. The fight should be on slowing down government spending that leads to inflation. As if our lives depended on it, because they do. But no one seems to want to fight that fight.
8
Very true, but when you also mess with a kids Christmas, you get the fury of the parents at the voting booth.
7
He's either locked in to that incompetence...or it's intentional. One of the two.
7
Jesus man. The dude has to use an 80 inch TV for a teleprompter with size 500 font hahahahhaah!
6
I can not understand how it is legal to refuse to allow a defendant to defend themselves to the furthest extent they possibly can...
6
Ditto
5
I mean, they completely surrendered everything to the enemy there, and then left our border wide open for them to walk in for almost a month. Either they are that grossly incompetent, or it's intentional. Only two possibilities.
4
Well, their alternative is Harris. That is arguably worse than having Biden at this point. Democrats have really hurt themselves here. They have nowhere to go for 3 years but down.
4
46-43%, with Trump in the lead. That is about double the margin of error...remember that.
3
Quite amazing to see Democrats move headlong back in to Donald Trump talking point and positions in order to try and repair the monumental damage they created...
3
This is a case worth doing exactly that for. The ramifications of it across the country are absolutely dire otherwise, and the SC is designed to handle things exactly like that.
3
I have to say I agree with this guy. He and Gabbard are giving me a lot of hope for our country. Giving people more than choice A or choice B is what we need. Force our politicians to have to earn the vote. Right now, if you are a Democrat, it doesn't matter what your policies are as long as you have a D next to your name. You get the vote. Same with R's. It should not be this way.
3
That is worth holding on to. As bad as the Carter years where, Regan came after and we know what happened with America there. One of it's most prosperous times and strongest times.
3
These tiny border towns have been handling MILLIONS of illegals with few complaints... Now those who BOAST of being the champion of immigrants...took a week to sue over a couple thousand illegals in their areas...

@eastbaykidd8574 Don't even try. If this dude can't reasonably understand that increasing a fry cooks pay from $30,000/yr to $200,000/yr...MIGHT effect the price on the menu, there is no reasoning with him. He already seems to think business owners budget x amount for the year and then say "But first, I'm taking a bonus out of that!" I can hope he's reasonable enough to concede a point there, but often times people would rather be what they perceive as morally right than being factually correct at all. Ah well, when the Bic Mac is $50 they'll be demanding an increase to $500/hr.
2
It isn't confidence we are mistaking for a drug. It's the stark contrast between his energy for THAT speech...and literally every other instance we see him. It's like Grandpa Marsh from South Park jumping from his wheel chair and running around. That isn't confidence.
2
I respect the heck out of that guy. No matter how he may vote. BECAUSE he votes how HE feels he needs to vote. Not for party, not for politician. For what HE feels is right. If it's Democrat one cycle, and Republican another...so be it. Vote on the issue, not the party.
2
100% of voters could demand a debate. They still wouldn't do it. They WILL NOT put him on stage with unscripted responses. They will tell you he's as sharp as ever, on top of his game, and also fight tooth and nail to prevent ANY possibility of him proving it openly.
2
At any rate, it is insane...absolutely insane...to not at least start using our own oil WHILE encouraging renewable energy. People need help NOW! Telling them, while they are already struggling financially, "Welp, maybe you should buy an electric car!" is just psychotic.
2
For one, they have historically oversampled Democrats in these things. So the number is likely much lower in reality. But also, there's gonna be those that are just religiously devoted to the Blue banner and will give it all their support no matter what. At any rate, like many others, I've never been contacted for a poll like this lol!
