I'm NEVER quick to criticize the badge, but that was a LOT of stray bullets that didn't hit their mark at a very close range.

Man. I can watch criminals take freedom pills all day long, but when it's someone genuinely experiencing mental issues that cause them to do this, it's tough. Cops gotta do what they gotta do, and I support that. You just hate to see it happen.

This officer is a BEAST! From accuracy with the shot while running, keeping an eye on innocent bystanders and backdrops at the same time after the shot was made, and the concrete communication skills. Prime example of a well trained officer!

Beautiful example of defensive gun use. I shed a tear of happiness watching it. Well done sir.

People protesting police: "Call the police!!"
321
This guy simply wasn't coming out of this alive. By his own intentions.
296
God bless this kid, I pray he gets the help he needs to work through this. He had to do it, and I commend him for it...but dang. No kid should have to make this choice.
154
Dang. This guy is on top of his ISH! Operating like a fine tuned machine even within such a stressful situation. Thinking about so many different facets of the situation at once. That's either VERY purposeful police training, or he's military background. Sounds like he's running an entire unit by himself here.
153
I feel like this is the best possible example of how to handle this kind of situation. All around. Perfectly executed.
104
Our justice system is no longer about justice, but ensuring who you simply wish to be prosecuted being prosecuted and convicted.
68
2:19 The sweet sound of regret.
65
100...he'll 1000% justified. Brilliant of the guy to have his hand on his tool ahead of time just in case.
61
I've seen the mall fight where dude keeps approaching other dude who has knife in hand for a fight. Kept on and kept on...and dude swung. Clean through the carotid. He stood there in shock, blood sounded like an open faucet hitting the floor, took about 20 seconds for him to drop and be done. Stay the heck out of fights folks. Unless it's a fight you can win.
35
Admittedly, I have been one to criticize female cops for being too soft for the field at times...this one is makin me eat all those words. She's a dam good officer and a warrior at that.
35
@phillyg3107 Its a DV situation, the lady came running out scared...you expect them to stop, call the courthouse to get a warrant served before entering? Get outta here man.
33
I mean, you always shoot with a purpose of course, but this officer was making damn sure he was having every one of her bullets pulled out during his autopsy.
33
You shoot...or you risk him jumpin in another vehicle, possibly shooting them (cause again you don't know if he still had his gun), and generally just hurting others as he already has. Plain and simple. He wasn't just resisting or being a general jerk about things. He was a BAD dude.
30
Given that he had a gun concealed, we can only surmise what horror would have befallen two real children. Aside from the obvious why he was there.
30
One or the other, and I have to heir on the side of not wanting prison time to appease the woke m(asses). Reality though, that dude should have been at gun point the moment he angled his pocket at the cop. Probably even before. And he should have eaten lead the second he tried pulling his hand out after that.
27
I'm in no position to criticize those in uniform myself, but I think going in to such a tight space like the back patio was probably not the best move. Seems they placed themselves in a real dangerous position by doing that. All that is said with not having been there or knowing exactly what they saw and thought. So I fully expect my thoughts to be taken with little seriousness.
27
That punk was gone before his carcass hit the pavement.
26
100% if they have gun in hand, you assume it will be used and act accordingly period. The act of handling the gun in these situations IS interpreted as a criminal offense. You, at least in Florida, are NOT expected to die or get your family killed to avoid jail.
25
Yup. He knew what was gonna happen. Wanted no part of it.
25
Yup. Absolutely tell police you need a lawyer and keep your mouth closed till then, but never just up and leave without calling lol!
24
Don't let your ego take you from your family folks. By death or prison. Zero reason at all to shoot the guy here. If you can't control your ego and emotions...DON'T carry. For the sake of yourself, your family, and the rest of us.
23
Welp, alcohol makes you do dumb things! Unfortunately, it led to this kid growing up with out his father.
22
That guy knew he wasn't gonna turn back around alive. Deliberately chose death.
20
@Mountainman524 This is in no way shape or form murder. Please do better.
19
That was 100% SBC. Also, why don't I slam the blue? This is why. Their every day life consists of this kind of random crap. Just processing a scene of some kind...and a random guy walks up and calmly begins shooting at them.
18
Jesus. I pray that kid gets all the help he is gonna need. Why that guy decided to get killed in front of his own kid...I just don't understand.
15
Saw this one when Donut Operator covered it! Still shocked this dude lived...
15
@nothanks5520 😂😂 That had me choking on my spit hahahha! But still, the original point is spot on of course.
14
100% Had no choice but to sweep and clear as they went for their own safety, but they didn't hesitate to get in and face the danger. Hats off to em. I'm only angered and saddened by the loss of innocent life and the media coming to the defense of the shooter...it's truly an evil thing to behold.
14
100%. No blame on the victim here at all, but it will serve you well to keep your head on a swivel. I am CONSTANTLY looking around. Not in a maniacal way that would creep people out lol! But I keep checks on my surroundings and the people in those surroundings.
14
Kind of a micro example of why it's so hard to invade America. Just in that small area 3 willing soldiers popped in to existence out of nowhere to fight back hahah! Multiply that over the entire nation!
14
The alternative is they think they hear someone in pain upstairs, ignore it so they don't get in trouble with the public for entering "for no reason", and then they end up dealing with someone bleeding to death when they could have saved their lives. With all the details we know here, they had every reason to enter and see what was going on.
14
It's an absolute shame they don't let you arm. Carrying equipment like that. That stuff attracts a LOT of bad meaning eyes.
13
Better to have an upset customer than a dead one! Crazy stuff!
11
Just incredible. It's an unforgiving world, and ONE mistake like this can cost everything. I pray they took the time to update the policy around this and demand trainging.
10
I'm only sad he didn't walk away with one of her rounds newly implanted somewhere.
10
Adrenaline probably prevented any feeling of pain, at least for a little while after. But man...she did hit it like a bag of ice.
9
@thecringeprince2040 You can, and should, always tell them you are gonna get a lawyer first. If they keep questioning you after that point, that can really only damage their own case.
9
@christopherball7937 If that were the case, that in itself is a horrible mistake. Pretty much violates rules one through four of gun safety. If you shoot, you shoot to kill, not maim or scare.
9
Yuuup. Keep your mouth closed to everyone until you have an attorney. Give the necessary information to law enforcement when they arrive and nothing more. The camera here was the game changer. Nothing the neighbor could have said to change what the jury actually saw happen.
9
Spot on. Carrying or not, keep your freakin emotions in check. Leave a situation any chance you get, and avoid conflict until it is no longer possible. Your family doesn't deserve to lose you to a jail cell for the rest of their lives because you lost your temper.
8
There's a good life tip in that fact lol! If you are gonna drink, drink at home with your friends away from the public. If you are gonna do that, don't carry. Above all, it's always best to just not drink.
7
Yup. Man or woman, you should NOT have both headphones in at any time. Keep one ear open and stay aware of everything around you. My head is always swiveling around, taking notes of everything and everyone around me. Not blaming her in any way, cause it was HIS choice to be lower than scum here, but it IS a good lesson in being and STAYING aware at all times.
7
Appreciate your service out there! Excellent advice! Not that I'd ever be a threat, but if I get pulled over...every light in my car is on and I keep both my hands in full view 100% of the time. Whatever I can possibly do to remove tension from the situation, cause I know the officer doesn't know me from someone who WOULD be stupid.
7
Get's absolutely hammered in his cruiser and then shot at while still trying to re-orient himself after getting smashed...and still has the presence of mind to pardon his own language for those watching. God what a good dude lol!
7
Yup, Signed his own death warrant with her. She calmly and accurately sent him straight to hell.
