Crazy how easy it is to watch bad guys get theirs...and how hard it is to watch an innocent person go through it. I guess not that crazy, your heart naturally pours out for the innocent. I hope this dude gets to ride the electric horsey for this.
6
This one is for those "Just shootem in the knee!" types...
6
@Blitzzy Sounds like he was speaking in generals here. There was no path of escape and he was clearly in serious danger of great bodily harm anyway. I'd hope (unless it's Cali lol!) no judge or jury would hold the victim being punched accountable.
6
Had to have been either a heart or head shot! That dudes lights where turn straight off.
6
Learned the dangers of assumptions that day lol! Glad no one was hurt!
6
This is a tough one. I usually don't mind criminals getting their dues, but I hate seeing a former hero of our nation end up here. You can't force people to get help, but we have a LOT of work to do to ensure enough and GOOD help is available to those that want it. These guys are being used up and spit out by our government for no good reason. Sent over to kill and watch their brothers and sister be killed...just to come back home and get poor treatment options and live on the streets. Shameful. This one's got me crying hard.
6
I feel like that is a universal understanding. No matter what you speak, a gun in your face means the same thing in Spanish, French, Cantonese...
6
The kids are not innocent here by any stretch. Absolute assholes to keep engaging him. He was wrong for what he did, and is facing the consequences...but being an asshole just because is no better.
5
@CarryOutMyBidding Feel free to elaborate...I'm all ears lol!

@morganfaye3479 " so yes, I do claim otherwise. Sorry that’s so unfathomable." It's really not though. Every marriage has it's own rules of course, but having that rule is a great way to eliminate any doubt. Purely out of respect for my wife, and she out of respect for me, we agreed from the start not to allow ourselves to be in a car/closed room/ alone with another woman/man. It's not a matter of either of us being untrustworthy, it's purely a matter of perception being reality. Don't even allow the perception, it's that much less likely to be a reality.
5
That sweet sound of the scum beggin for mercy. Nah fam. Goodnight.
5
Wifey for the win!!
5
I'm seeing this through the eyes of a civilian here, but I can't imagine seeing it through your eyes as a fellow veteran. Your service is deeply appreciated. Thankyou!

And this is why I simply don't criticize those in uniform so freely. I can disagree with certain actions, but I will never openly criticize these guys. They get in to situations no one should ever be in, they make choices no one should have to do (such as this one, having to neutralize a suspect..much less in front of a child). Forever grateful for those to willingly take these things on so we don't have to.
4
@theofficialsikris 100% I've got zero experience in law enforcement, so I am first to say whatever critique I offer is from someone who has no idea what it's like at best. God knows what these folks in uniform go through on a day to day. No question about it.
4
Probably my lack of experience here, but I thought trying to relate to the guy in some way was good. I'm sure I'm missing something here, what is it? Edit: I will say perhaps it didn't sound very genuine. But again, that's me speaking from zero experience with this kind of situation.
4
Moral of these stories...don't let your ego steal you from your family...
4
@mikehunt3250 I mean...he walked up, not saying a word, pulled out a gun, and shot...very slowly might I add. If he were being gangster...chances are he'd have been spraying it at as many cops as possible. The delay in shooting seems to indicate he simply wanted to be shot back at, and generally no one asks to be shot unless they want to die.
4
You can feel her "You messed with the last person you'll ever mess with" in her body language. That was a "Go ahead and send the coroner along with backup. This assholes gonna need a body bag." Response.
3
He managed to avoid jail time, but he has to live every day with the thought of a dead child at his hands.
3
I hear ya. I'd say if someone has a lengthy criminal record...kinda indicates they aren't great at blending in to begin with hahaha
3
Aside from all that, I'm just not in their situation when watching these videos. So, justified or not, I don't allow myself to openly criticize. I can't see exactly what the officer sees. I can't know exactly what the officer knows in that moment. There's always a luxury in watching the video after the fact. I'm not naeve enough to think I know better just because of that luxury.
3
Yeaaaaa. I'm only willing to criticize so much, having not been in the situation, but he certainly could have found a better chance/way to draw instead of trying to draw while they guy was legit staring at him. IF the perps gun was functional, he'd def would have gotten a forever box. But fortunately he didn't.
3
CCL holder was REAL smart to stand right in front of his camera the whole time!
3
Sure you've heard it a million times, but thank you for puttin it on the line for us! Assuming you served in Afghanistan/Iraq here, I'm sorry it went to hell the way it did last year too. No one deserved for it to end the way it did.
3
@dirtyharold7164 He most definitely did not survive in that one. Within about 10 seconds there was about a gallon plus of blood on the ground.
3
Somethin special about bad guys getting the off button pressed on their legs...
3
I am sorry to say I was this kinda person at 18-19 years old. My cousin and I were tossing bottle rockets up and purposely trying to get them to launch over to the patio of a neighbor. Just being stupid, young, assholes. I cringe thinking about that to this day. Glad no one was hurt, and I grew the heck up!
3
If you are going to carry a gun, you MUST, in fact you owe it to yourself, your family, and EVERYONE AROUND YOU to be as wise as humanly possible with it. The ability to let your ego and emotions rule you must cease to exist when you carry a gun. If you can't put those to bed for good, you have no business carrying.
3
@mattg7899 I can't imagine the PTSD he suffered through, but (as we all know here of course) nothing you can experience will ever justify doing this. I certainly can explain how you got to that point. But there will never be a point where it's like "Oh. Oh that's why you did it? Ok. We understand. No harm no foul."
3
Cold blooded murder 100%. The dude in red truck DEF could have carried on his way and that would have been it. But the decision to reverse and engage cost him his life. The shooter literally could have pulled in his driveway, notified the police to maybe place a speed monitor or something. ENTIRELY needless death and another family losing their loved one's to the prison system.
3
May he RIP.
3
From our perspective, that is an argument to be made. But all the facts matter. IF he genuinely didn't know what was happening, and merely saw his friend being shot and shot back...then yes. IF it turns out, like John said, he saw the beer bottle swing, then it's murder.
3
The extra point is good! May he have a lifetime of headaches and ringing ears after this.
3
LITERALLY can be anyone you know. Learned that recently unfortunately.
3
I'm honestly shocked! Based on what President Biden has said about these hand guns, I'm surprised there was anything left of this guys midsection after being shot the first time...
2
Yeah...if you don't want to die, NOT going for your gun is a good start to that.
2
Not caring to live is a good explanation lol
2
Brutal as this was, and it was brutal, 180 stitches from that many swings is a pretty good outcome for the victim here. It not happening at all would be better, but 180 stitches between 2 axes and a machete mercilessly coming down on you...thank God this man survived.
2
Never gets old! "SHOOT ME MO&^%F*!%#" 2 seconds later... "AHHHHHH!!!!!! OH MY GAD!!!!
2
It'd not hard. Don't associate with bad guys, don't behave like a bad guy, don't hang put in places bad guys hang out in...and you are 99% unlikely to ever experience any trouble.
2
It is very much human nature to be bothered by taking another life. Justified or not. You do what you have to do of course, but it's much easier to say "Don't be bothered by it." than it is to actually not be bothered by it. That being said, you have an obligation if carrying, to be prepared at any time for the mental consequences of that choice.
2
That, and when you decide to shoot, you shoot until the threat is fully incapacitated. She wasn't giving him any way out alive after that move.
2
God bless this kiddo! My guess is the sheer volume she generated made him take off. That is a scream every parent dreads hearing...but every parent immediately knows what it means. Any decent person knows what it means really. Well done kiddo.
2
Talk about no honor among thieves...dudes "friend" pulled a Houdini on em.
2
Word of advice: If it is AT ALL possible...get the hell out of these cities. Those in charge (typically Democrats) are actively ensuring your family is ALWAYS in imminent danger there.
2
Love the Bugs line at the beginning hahahah! But this is a HARD one. Alleged to have a knife, jacket flying in the wind often blocking his hands, suspect just not complying at all, very difficult.
2
Glad she wasn't charged with anything. She shouldn't have been anyway. She SHOULD have just put in in drive and left, but none the less.
2
Balls of steel to walk in to a scene like that knowing there's someone ready and willing to kill you SOMEWHERE in there, and not knowing where....and still marching right in to track them down. THIS is the kind of stuff I point to as an example of why I don't slam the Blue.
2
Yuuuuup. The perps having to give 2-4 more kicks before getting in can buy you a LOT more time.
