  1. It's weird that the president-elect lost by 400K votes buuuuut when you go state by state most states had more people who voted against Hillary. The 400K is primarily from the west coast primarily California. And this should be rubbed into deluded HRC supporters faces - Hillary lost states Obama (and Bernie) won handily. I can't see many of those states going along with California because they have more voters than the rest of the country. Once again, Hillary was just a lousy candidate.

If anything their pathetic attempt to smear Sanders has gotten more recruits and made supporters even less likely to vote for Hillary if she wins the nomination.

  3. Big fan of MST3K from way back in the day and been following Conniff on Twitter for a couple of years. Glad to see a mending of fences here. His story about the HRC benefit around 12:00ish is amazing. His twitter-feed was very pro-Hillary more than I would like but hey! everyone is entitled to their opinion and you can like a person for certain things and disagree with them on others. That said I'm shocked at the HRC campaign people's actions. Conniff's Twitter in 2016 came off as one of the biggest HRC supporters out there so I don't know how they came to that mind-numbingly stupid conclusion. I think it another telling sign of why the DNC lost rather than the GOP won the overall election. The people running the campaign were morons and they lost a benefit deal with a big HRC follower. Madness!

  4. The parties aren't what they used to be. The Republican party of Lincoln which freed the slaves, gave them citizenship, and the right to vote has been overtaken by embittered racists courted away from the Democrat party by the Southern Strategy in the wake of the Civil Rights Act. The same party which produced Teddy Roosevelt and his regulations to create national parks, break up big companies, stop harmful unregulated food production has been hijacked by corporatists who want to overturn a lot of the regulation he set up and would strip mine Yellowstone in a heartbeat. The party of Eisenhower who forced desegregation in schools and warned us of the military industrial complex has been taken over by the aforementioned racists and has become a vehicle for the industrial military complex who pushed Bush into going into Iraq on bullshit premises. The Democrat party which while founded by racist genocidal slave-owning Andrew Jackson was founded in contempt of the banks and in favor of the common man (just at that time meant only white) has been replaced by wallstreet-paid bank-loving corporatists who screw over the common man on behest of their banking bosses. The party of FDR who pushed for progressive reform and helped to create a strong vibrant middle class has been hijacked by neoliberals who want to overturn and have overturn his regulations against Wallstreet and the banks destroying the middle class in the process. The party of JFK who avoided war with Russia and created the Peace Corp to aid developing countries has been taken over by warhawks wanting to heat up the cold war with Russia over leaking their shenanigans and have no problem with the continual bombing of developing nations while their banking wallstreet masters continue to exploit third world labor in sweatshops. Both founding members and later heads of these parties would be aghast at the state of the parties today and overlooking the social issues which are little more than a bone thrown to the followers would probably see little difference as the same neo-con policies which benefit the 1% are being pursued by both parties. A sad state of affairs.

  5. what's interesting is that Scotland is named after the Scots/Gaels tribe who were from Ireland while England comes from Anglo-Land the Anglo-Saxons from northern Germany and Denmark. Much of Wales was made up of the celtic refugees from the Anglo-Saxons and the name "Wales" is derived from Old English. English language itself is a mishmash of old germanic Anglo-Saxon, nordic from the Vikings, and Norman French which also was Viking descended after 1066. British history later became so anglo-sized down the road we forget that England was a bilingual country for nearly 300 years with the top speaking Norman French and the everyone else speaking Old English. Kings like Richard the Lionheart didn't speak a word of English only French and spent most of his 10 year-reign outside of England yet some still naively think him "ye goode English kinge"

I'm sure the guy was trying to be clever but when you can easily go "hang on, Bernie wasn't running" it makes his attempt to stretch his clever joke excruciatingly unfunny - if you've got to explain the joke...   7. yeah that bit of friendly rivalry struck me as a bit odd and wrong. Really "Great Britain" was an English drive for unity with them at the head. The Welsh didn't ask to be part of it. They were conquered and cajoled into it, the same with Scotland. Those who didn't go along with it went the way of the highland scots - murdered, imprisoned, or sent off to the colonies. Sure down the line there were political reasons for unification but there's a reason why english not welsh or gaelic is the primary language.

I could more understand voting for Buttigieg, Beto, Warren, even Klobuchar but Biden?
