  10. when a "liberal" as perceived by conservatives does nefarious deeds they think it reflects on all liberals - ie all gun control advocates are secretly gun runners - whereas when a conservative does bad they'll either defend them or pretend it's just a few bad eggs and hush it up. This story will be used as ammo by the pro-gunners thinking they've got the gun regulators by the balls with this one little realizing that liberals will not defend this guy. Most liberals actually believe in principles and not simply supporting the team. This is the reason why in liberals vs conservatives conflicts, although conservatives are a minority conservatives are able to exert so much influence by toeing the party line regardless of principle because they have this "we're at war" mentality whereas liberals are constantly throwing each other under the bus over principle. It will be lost on the guntards when they scream "What about that gun-running Democrat?" and we answer "He's scum and a hypocrite and I hope he rots in jail." They won't hear that and will assume we love the guy because they would if the situations were reverse like with TN Congressman Desjarlis to name but one who cheated on his wife and advised her and his mistress to get abortions.

  13. what the clueless miss with white privilege is that it doesn't mean if you are white you automatically are ensured of success but in various areas you are less likely to be impeded. You are more likely to be given the benefit of the doubt if only slightly. When getting pulled over the police or knocking on someone's door at night when you've been in a car accident, you're less likely to get shot or beaten, tazed, then shot and then have your school record used against your memory.

It's a combination of things - 1) unfair media coverage that's heavily slanted against him; 2) when they aren't reporting negatively about Sanders they ignore him; and 3) the method the polling is done is questionable. Bernie has the most individual donors across the country, has raised the most money on small donations, has more followers than the other candidates on social media, has a much larger and more active reddit forum than the other candidates, made a huge splash on Joe Rogan getting over 10 million views in less than 2 months, got a million likes on a climate change tweet which also called Trump an idiot, got record donations after the last debate before having the largest attended rally of any other candidate while getting major endorsements. If the media was fair, Bernie would be the obvious front runner given all these facts but instead you have outlets putting out stories with headlines like "Buttigieg in fourth but a strong fourth" - when Bernie was polling in third they were saying he should drop out. They're shameless.

Obama's crime was being both black and a Democrat. But look at Bill Clinton. He's a white southerner yet he is loathed by the rightwing. They went so far as to actually impeach him over an affair that had no impact on any policy whatsoever. Since the 90s the rightwing has been conditioned through a variety of sources to despise liberals on such a visceral level that they would practically sink a lifeboat they are in just to spite a liberal. This is why they are so willing to give a former democrat who speaks their lingo so many passes on issues that they would have hanged Obama and Bill Clinton on. In short, they are so far gone in their tribalistic insanity there is no reasoning with them and if we can stop the gerrymandering and voter suppression we wouldn't and shouldn't have any serious discussion with these insane ignorant people anymore.
