  9. It's about whether all ballots are counted or whether white hegemony becomes white apartheid when mostly white votes are allowed or counted. The Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act will restore voting rights to their 1965 level, and make it harder to undo the protections originally provided by the Voting Rights Act that were stripped away with the Republican Supreme Court majority ruling effectively saying they aren't needed because "racism is over". They are existential to the Republic in the face of the assault on democracy waged by the GOP.

I am optimistic that if truly separated from State, including all subsidies (like tax exemption) removed -- plus anti-proselytizing and anti-discrimination regulations on all tax exemptions for charitable organizations and all related public-service activities, it is not a persistent threat to democracy and self-determination. I also understand the role of pacifism and service inspired by religion or faith -- as demonstrated by the Catholic and Quaker blocs of the abolitionist, labor rights and land reform movements -- have been a powerful force for progress in this country and others, as well as a force for subjugation and white hegemony.
