Flashing your brights momentarily is NOT a crime, itâs done by everyone. While I do believe cops deserve the benefit if the doubt, at the very LEAST the officer should have a reprimand filed for lying to the driver and ALLOWING himself and the situation to escalate. Yes, if the damage to the officers face was caused by the kid, I can see why they ruled in the officers favor. But officers deal with the worst 10%, 90% of the time, it skews their perspective. Iâve seen officers lie on the stand and feel fully justified for doing so. There should be dash cam footage to collaborate this event, If there was none, something is fishy. I would not put it past an officer to bloody their own face to support their case after a shooting such as this occurred. Iâm not saying thatâs what happened, just that itâs not beyond possibility, the officer was caught on camera lying to the kid, and while getting the benefit of the doubt, their integrity DEPENDS on their honesty.
