In my neighborhood most work in some sort of support job, ranging from retail, police, trucking, etc. They all faced illness and while young faced COVID risks every day in their job. Presidential immunity only applies in office, its purpose is to prevent nuisance lawsuits from occupying the presidents valuable time. The only exception is the senate phase of an impeachment hearing where they can compel a president to testify.
