Lets remember that gun laws in Canada have acutally worsened the number of mass gun killings in Canada with an average of one shooting ever 3 years which is acutally HIGHER than it was over the course of the rest of the history of the nation, bad societal changes kill.... bad policies get you killed, and criminals kill the unarmed.
20
Exactly, when a shooting in a state in the USA that has non restrictive gun ownership laws, the shooter dies on the scene.
9
Then legalize personal gun ownership, and remove the nonsensical restrictions you have that allowed this to happen..... people can protect themselves, the USA is proof of that. Everywhere in the USA that has a lot of gun deaths has them due to gun bans and restrictions. Also if someone shoots a bad guy dead.. you don't have to pay taxes to keep his sorry ass in jail.
8
they didn't .. they attempted to perform a citizen's arrest, he attacked them and got himself shot. He was definitely not running away when shot.
7
Because he is a serial killer and not a terrorist... the terrorists in this case is the media, spreading the terror, in order to scare people into accepting gun controls that only strip even more control of thier own lives and rights from them. A terrorist terrorizes.... which is to say does some public act to strike fear and terror. But if it were not for the news there would be no terror... and he would fail but they act complicity with his crime. As the evil Hillary clinton quoted, you should always take avantage of a good crisis... well if this weren't on the news it would but just as sad, but there would be no crisis, a mere 17 people lost thier lives, compared to the thousand uppon thousand of people that loose thier lives needlessly in otherways but what do we here about GUN CONTROL.... the ONLY reason for gun control is to make your population into sheep.
7
you ok? a shooting every 3 years or so is normal since about 30 years in Canada... and it was lower than that before they enacted gun laws.
6
How about we just apply the regular laws correctly rather than hamfisting around with "thought crime" laws.
5
@omi_god you sure are.... I hope however that you never find out how bad things can get with an unarmed populace.
5
Mag what a vile person you are .
5
@Sabrina.682 They didn't shoot or point a gun at him as he was running... they did shoot him after he attacked them.... big difference. doesn't mean I think they weren't at fault for escalating the situation... but the death was in self defense.
5
@dirklimon4966 Oh I dunno because this isn't the influenza virus not even close, and heat doesn't stop it from spreading... as it is a much more robust virus. The problem isn't the low chance of killing you its the high chance that EVERYONE will eventually get it, and that means around 1% of people die, 38% of people are likely to get a severe case with complications. And people that do survive it may have lung and other damage.
4
@Sadiqi you must live in a city with restrictive gun laws then... or maybe you are just a racist scumbag just stiring the pot. And who do you mean by people running? Your criminal cohorts apparently... because no law abiding citizen would be running from the scene of a crime they would be there stopping it from happening and providing eyewitness accounts to the police.
4
@american5564 If everybody in the whole city was as armed to the teeth as the bad guys it wouldn't' be happning....
3
@jackburton7959 a welcome jest bro, if every family member in Chicago was armed with a basic 22lr pistol or maybe even a Taurus Judge.... sure there could be a good few days of all out war with the bad guys but in the end the crime rate would be so dang low you leave your doors unlocked. 22lr and judge cause they are both deadly and can be loaded with low penetrating ammo for low risk of wall penetration.
3
To date a mere 12 Deaths in my county of 200k people.... masks for what??? And who knows if those deaths were legit acutally because of COVID-19 I'm definitely sure mor epeople have died here this year because of the flu. guess where the worst COVID outbreaks were, Democrat controlled cesspools...
3
@alfaivre2990 "The big ARMED man attacked him so he had to try to take the gun, which is called DISARMING someone one." ... and there you go right off the rails.... you can't attack an armed man and expect not to get shot.
3
@TheCleanProphet Except they are extra rights... absolutely ZERO people biologically require hormonal therapy to be the opposite gender of their birth ZERO.
3
You realize Canada has like 1/8th the population of the USA right.... the fact is gun control removes a human right. Gun control empowers the government against you. If 17 people died... why is it national news, other than to push for complete removal of the human right of owning a tool that empowers you to protect yourself and your family until help can arrive. Thousands and millions of more people die for much much preventable reasons. Shootings have far more to do with how you were raised and what your mental state is that anything else. Also when guns aren't available people always find another way to kill people. Guns are an equalizing force like it or not... citizens without guns are *sheep*.
3
@nomealow That's a complete lie....criminals have guns regardless... just as this man did. If someone wants to kill someone they will find a way regardless.
3
one shooting every 3 years in Canada does not constitute a reason to freak out.... if anything Canada should wise up and repeal their gun laws and enact free gun training laws, to ensure that thier population can protect themselves and the next time this happens the shooter dies on the scene the first time.
3
The color... of these men, or of the victim.... has no bearing on the case. Bringing that into it... is literally racist.
3
WHO said...*everyone left the chat*
3
I mean if you cant handle a basic slur against you... you are the problem. It's irrelevant to the case... if they were intending to kill him, then he'd have been shot while he was running away not as he was attacking him. why where they carrying guns... well do you confront a guy messing around your neighborhood repeatedly unarmed??? In the end... all of these men made bad decisions that lead to a death.
3
Ha!... what good is a mask when you are directly in contact with people like 2inches from you... if they have it you got it.
2
@christopherboydandmartinsc9322 Of course lives are more important... that is why gun rights are required to protect those lives. canada's gun laws have caused an increase in gun violence and death since they were implemented.
2
@renanphillips1479 It is the point...its literally irrelevant to the case... the actions you see taken in the video clearly show that they did not shoot him flippantly, he attacked them after being caught trespassing, and then they only fired on him after he attepted to take the one guys gun (he had been ran off before so it was criminal trespass also)
2
@Mark Smith Not long term but they can be effective tools in the short term.
2
Ty YT a yes a gun free zone... protected by a pants pissing cop, and you want to tell me that more gun restrictions will fix that.... -_- you are a special kind of stupid. All educational employees should have the option to concealed carry.... period.
2
They were traitors to the Union... but not thier countrymen, the union failed, it failed to advert civil war and in fact caused it, rather than empathizing with the south they levied massive taxes on them and built factories railroads and all sorts of industry in the north with that money..... little to none of it going to the south THINK ABOUT THAT. Before calling the confederates traitors ever again. The north betrayed the south long before the war started.
2
@jackburton7959 to add to your point transferring a gun to someone you have reasonable cause to believe the person you’re transferring the firearm to is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition, or that the person will use the firearm in a crime, you are committing a felony. This is why gun sales between private individuals are most often people that trust each other, or are people that would not obey that law anyway.
2
@omi_god Canadians can't even have a loaded gun in thier own home.... they have to load it after the fact.... you know when they are dead.
2
That's why "hate" crimes should be taken off the books... we all knew they'd be abused to stire up further hate. It should have been left as just you do the crime you pay the time... now you get extra time if someone can figure a way someone can construe whateve r you did as hateful.
2
All gun control laws are bad.... alot of people freak out that Americans can even own machine guns legally... but those same americans that own them commit practically no crimes. In the USA we need to repeal many of our gun laws so the police military and citizens can all be armed equally on American soil. There is no weapon a soldier or police officer should be able to carry that a citizen should not be allowed to carry that is the ENTIRE point of the 2nd amendment of our constitution. Even during the war of independence in the USA our countrymen were fired on with practically modern weapons (breach loading muskets were in fact used in battle by the British on occasion as well as many other weapons that were more advanced that wat the Americas themselves had and yet we prevailed).
2
@usuk9316 from his comments he is an evil person that wants people to be unarmed easy prey fro criminals I don't know why that is either....
2
Polls ran entirely by and reported on by the media... hmmmmmm. Cracks me up when people go out and tell people quotes from people they "like" and they end up finding out how terrible the people they voted for like Obama actually were and are.
2
@omi_god then explain why canada's gun control has made gun crime more frequent....
2
Mag More guns means less deaths...in the last 500 years there have been less wars and less deadly wars than any other period of history. Guns are a great equalizer of men and women, a good person armed with a gun is not easy prey for a bad person or a bad government (foreign or domestic). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjAsM1vAhW0

@Idontreadreplies23 Canada has only had 13 mas shootings ever you say?? Perhaps then it has nothing to do with the gun laws at all which are the blatant removal of human rights, the lack of shootings are perhaps a geographic and societal difference. You see Canada has a lot of guns even now, and had a lot of guns throughout it's history....it has only had severe gun laws for about 30 years. From the numbers you have given that would imply some sort of shooting on average every 5 years since the beginning of the nation... in the past 30 years since the enactment of these laws the number of shootings is on average every 3 years.... so you are telling me that Canada is worse off now than they were over the history of the country, even when it was a wild and nearly lawless land! Removal of guns rights in Canada is absolutely preposterous!
2
@jboyox6675 They do when that is exactly what it is... most medicines are narrowly targeted. A disinfectant would be a broadly targeted anti viral or anti bacterial disinfectant that happens to be non toxic.... they exist.
2
@NeoTuck25 He attacked the guy.... he got shot. Note he could have just ran away... but he did not. I guarantee you he could have outran those guys too...
1
@sousa sousa 16% of new your has it and didn't' even know it...
1
@Darby You can't own a pistol in any practical sense.
1
Killers... yes murderers, no. If they had shot him on sight ... sure. But they didn't he was only fired uppon after he rushed the one guy and attacked him violently. If you are trespassing on someones property and the neighbor has had to run you off before.... well lets just say the more I keep talking if Arbery had lived he'd have no leg to stand on against these guys... and he'd have been charged with assault and trespassing.
1
you misunderstand... they don't know if he had an accomplice for sure or not, and it was a 12 hour rampage.... they are still finding more people he killed.
1
@kcooke00 lets be clear it was not the first time... and he had been ran off by the other neighbor before.... so he was definitely criminally trespassing.
1
If a white man.... was messing around your house.. .what would you do call the cops? they did... attempt to run the guy off? they had before.... detain him until the police arrived? they tried... he attacked them and got shot in the process. It doesn't matter what color they were or he was... racism isn't what killed Aubrey.
1
the gunner had hydrocloroflonase COVID treatment induced psychosis.... yeah.
1
@TKUltra971 They don't know everywhere he went during the 12 hours he was killing people.... they are finding more as they search.
1
@TKUltra971 why .... who was gonna stop him, canadians don't carry guns.
1
For attempting to detain a repeat trespasser... getting attacked and defending themselves????
