  43. wait let me get this straight you guys are confused that China being a totalitarian nightmare state, wanting to have its own silicon valley have no contradictory terms? You cant lock a 100 people into a room and order them to invent something, China's treatment of its minorities are brought as evidence to the level of government control. Innovation requires creativity, and freedom to express and share those creative ideas that came forth, in a state and a culture that promotes absolute docility that is obviously a problem. The issue of Hollywood is one and the same, the effort to create an environment where ideas are more freely exchanged, a creative culture, will encourage that endeavor. Such an environment creates and requires its own bubble culture (California vs rest of any town USA) therefore distance to political capital to maintain that bubble so it isnt too distracted by daily politics are all solid concepts.. I don't think many people of this channel have the necessary background understanding of statecraft to be viably here. I mean these are obvious. This channel is calculus, you need to learn how to add and subtract..
