In the cold war radar operators had enough time to warn command and re run scans to confirm threats. This time to re check allowed them to identify many false positives and possibly saved the world from apocalypse on numerous occasions.

Turkeys claims revolve on meis island blocking turkeys Mediterranean maritime navigation and blocking EEZ from potential natural resource sites in the Mediterranean Sea. And maritime security in the aegean especially for civilian trade and naval navigation. İ think meis island issue will be resolved in the upcoming greek turkish negotiations but the aegean part is a massive issue. Turkey is not alone in not accepting it. No nation in that circumstance would. Similar situation happens in south china sea.
