  5. As a “war baby”,growing up in what was then,a newly built modern house,perhaps our grandchildren should learn some history ! Only 1 room had a coal fire,everywhere else was freezing.You scraped thick frost/ice off your b/room windows in a morning.If cold,you put on another jumper,everybody wore vests.In ‘47 the snow was 4ft/120cm deep. Stay warm !

  9.  @gmanlee575  For over a year,I have delayed paying my water bill until I have had at least 1 - 2 reminders.There has been no Court action,no solicitors,no debt collectors.If the whole country stopped paying for 2-3 months what could they do ? Get off your knees ! They are using your money to pay themselves billions and brazenly tell you that it will be 40% higher soon….are you just going to sit in your armchair and hand over money ?

  14. @kanenas tsankaris 43p a day is an absolute bargain,that allows you to watch and listen to most TV and radio stations for a whole year ! Buying the Sun,costs 65p….for 1 day ! I think you’ll find that 43p x 365 days = £159…….but then,you do sound as if you prefer Fox and GB News propaganda. It was the Tory Govt. who stopped on-shore turbines,solar subsidies but allows wood pellets to be imported from the USA.Logical ? They also loaned your taxes(+ guaranteed prices + 20yr contracts) to farmers to build anaerobic digesters,to produce electricity. Instead of growing food,farmers are growing maize to go in the digesters. Who needs a national energy policy when you use the peasants money to keep your rich,landed supporters happy,selling electricity back to them…..at a profit !!!
