@mrscreamer379 What a fool! Highest taxes since WW2 in Tory Brexit Britain. 14 years of misrule with debt still rising & what freedom do we have in the UK. Tories taking away the right to strike, taking away people's vote if they don't have the right ID to fix a non-existent voter fraud problem. Rampant crime. The list goes on

@babymonalisa OK troll 🙄
2
@nicks4934 Blair introduced the "internal market" into the NHS & used private health care to bring down waiting lists.
2
Never joined twitter. Must close FB account soon as not using it as a waste of time & even before fact checking stopping it allowed BS, lies & conspiracy theories to be promoted without limits. Let's see if UK govt. & BBC leave X: I very much doubt it.

No notification for this video despite "all" selected. Damn YT

This was always a not starter and a bureaucratic dead end.

I wait to see what is in Labour's manifesto: I fear it will lack vision, a long-term plan & not address the reform that is needed to housing & the criminal justice system not forgetting the disaster of FPTP. Rachel Reeves seems wedded to the post-Thatcher economic orthodoxy. They won't get rid of right-to-buy but leave house building to the failed system in place because home owners count while renters are losers (the Tory Mantra). They won't renationalise the railways bit-by-bit as the franchises end because again they will fall into the trap that roads are cheaper to build than rail, trams & other public transport. I know "Rome wasn't built in a day" but we need a plan to revitalise the country not more managed decline.

Will Wetherspoons be selling pints of wine?
2
@trytellingthetruth.2068 Tories + Sunak given us higher taxes than Labour & highest since WW2. National debt is even higher now, so you point is pointless.

Username says it all🙄

The Tories have done more damage to the country than the Luftwaffe ever did. They have sold off anything of value to the lowest bidder. What do we own now under UK Plc. So called investment has been derisory & often accompanied by "sweeteners". The Tories say these foreign investors create jobs but all the profits generated are taken out of the country. Tories closed down the dept. in HMRC that looked into the tax affairs of the super-rich but go after carers who didn't declare earnings properly. The list goes on. Labour will need 10 years at least to make good even 50% of the wreckage left by the Tories.
2
Labour could do a lot without spending little or no money plus implement tax reform, BUT the number 1 job is to implement Leveson 2 & tame the Tory client media from telling lies & ignoring impartiality rules. Reeves is infected with economic orthodoxy that has failed for 45 years. She doesn't need to be "Tax & spend" but there must be tax reform to stop the massive tax avoidance that it going on & the profligate use of tax havens but the rich & companies (i.e. why is the Daily Fail allowed to be registered in Bermuda and its owner a French resident for tax purposes?)
2
People believe in capital & corporal punishment, it doesn't make them right. Just as in the past there were supports of the NF & British union of fascists.
2
@billywiz1307 There is not cost if government issues bonds to previous owners that pay interest for say 20 years
2
Tory corruption continues! Brandon Lewis going to work for 2 Russian, sanctioned, Oligarch for 250k a year. Total earning with other jobs set to be 500k: nice work if you can get it for being a 2nd rate politician.
2
We are in desperate need of bold leadership that is pro-EU & has a positive plan for change & reform especially electoral reform. Sadly too many politicians are more concerned with polls, focus groups & the front pages of the mail, express & the sun. See the recent article by Andrew Rawnsley (Guardian) about what a new Labour government can do without spending money
2
"British munitions manufacturers are to manufacture artillery shells for the German army" I find that hard to believe as BAe who we contracted to produce for the army after shutting down the government production, said that it would take 2 years to ramp up production to replace the shells we had sent to Ukraine.
2
Starmer is still pandering to Brexiteers & the right-wing media
1
That so many haven't seen through Farage's lies & BS with his pub bore personality show the depth of political ignorance in the country that would support a tinpot demagogue.
1
The King: adulterer, promotes quack medicine and parasite. Royal family pro hunting, illegally shooting birds of prey without punishment, tax dodgers, wills kept secret for 100 years to hide their wealth. The monarchy is past its used by date.
1
I believe in a free press but it shouldn't be allowed to spread lies without consequence. Sadly too many lack the education to be able to tell lies from truth & readily blame others for the failure of 14 years of Tory ineptitude running the country into the ground & asset stripping & handing public money to their friends.
1
🤣🤣🤣
1
@davidrenton What a 🤡 "self governance, accountability." where has that been for the last 13 years or even since we left the EU? PPE scandal, Grenfell Tower, RAAC, sewage in the rivers & on beaches, Johnson & Truss putting their cronies in the House of Lords. The list goes on.
1
Still too many Tories & Brexit voters who will look at reality and say things like "The last 13 years have been good for me" or "You have to wait for Brexit benefits to arrive in the next 10 years" or "All the problems are caused by the war in Ukraine &/or the pandemic" and lastly "I could never vote other than Conservative so if I'm unhappy I just won't vote".
1
You are the very definition of a troll 🤣
1
@tiggtiggs You expect me to take the comment of a Troll, Joined 7 Aug 2020, seriously 🤣
1
Woman on R4 Today programme this morning on a vox pop "how will you be voting in the GE. I always vote Conservative, I always will!". That sums up the tribal British voter, reality is not important to them (Same with Brexiteers & Corbynistas), you could put a monkey up as candidate and as long as it had the right coloured rosette they would vote for it.
1
Tories have had 14 years to wreck the country yet the right-wing media will complain that Labour hasn't fixed it in a year. This past week saw Craig McKinley MP ( UKIPper & Brexiteer) return to the Commons sans hands & feet due to sepsis yet despite the cheering not a single Tory said why did he have to pay over a £100k for prosthetics as the NHS ones were so basic & not fit for purpose or how they have created a two-tier health service where only the rich get better treatment.
1
The Tory twats don't take bio-security seriously. we are getting 1 new tree disease on average every 18 months from Ash die-back, sudden oak death, processionary caterpillars. The recent story of the destruction of a large orchard by Bulmers (now foreign owned) because post-Brexit the Tories took away the subsidy on orchards
1
They know they will lose so they will cling on to collect more money from the tax payer & line up a nice job as a consultant or non-exec directorship or 2. They will earn more money from their failure & how many will use every scheme available to avoid tax.
1
I await the Labour manifesto, though not with much enthusiasm, as they are so afraid of the right-wing media they are showing little leadership or desire for change & reform in the country. We are either going to accept more decline & cuts or face down those who still champion failed neo-liberalism & tax cuts/avoidence for the rich.
1
Rachel Reeves is economically illiterate & a neo-liberal. The so called "black hole" is a myth as 22 billion in terms of the UK budget is a trifle. Scraping the WFA instead of reforming it is a spectacular own goal. To qualify for Pension Credit you have to be dirt poor <£11,600 pa. That figure is too low! If all the pensioners not currently claiming it do so then the actual savings is not £2 bn but closer to 200 million therefore idiotic to cut WFA instead of say making it taxable. A pension rise of £460 over a year next April does nothing to pay energy bills that are rising 10% 1st October & then again next January. It also ignores renters who will see their Housing Benefit & Council tax reduction cut as their pension rises thus they will not get the full £460 rise possibly only £360 or less. <£10 a week does not cover all the price rises.

@NomenNescio-g1o Fool

Got to get rid of Murdoch & Rothermere for a start. I agree with most on your list but doubt Labour will do anything about HoL or BBC. Good to see John Timpson being brought in a Prisons minister. Criminal Justice needs reform. Reduce prison pop. by 10k during the parliament (only violent & repeat offenders need locking up). Stop UK blindly following the US, the "war on drugs" has failed like Prohibition: decriminalise personal used & have licensed points of distribution to registered users to take away sale from criminal gangs (county lines solved). Treat drug addict as a health problem. Social Care must be fixed as it is draining & blocking NHS improvement.
1
US politics is a mess of corruption, lies, money, grift, with too many politicians unfit for office & are only in it for the ways they can enrich themselves & their friends. I think your efforts would be better used covering other topics.
1
Boycott is the only word they understand. There is a move in Canada to stop buying any US products or services. We should be doing the same here. They may not get the message but at least we can dent their profits.
1
Brexit reset? Not from Starmer & Co.. They think that growth in 10 years is acceptable. I think the data shows that the Welsh vote to leave was swayed by all the English living there. Farage the pub bore full of wind & pi$$ yet he has convinced the gullible that he has a plan.

Troll, idiot or both

Meanwhile the Tories want the sick & disabled to get working to revive the economy. I used to live in London & fondly remember the Italian coffee bars & restaurants run by Italian families. As for Rachel Johnson I don't believe her any more than her lying ex-PM brother who is still spouting the "fastest vaccine rollout" lie. She has never uttered a word of personal or private criticism of her adulterous brother.
1
I can only hope that my brother is right that the split in the Tory party will be the same as the one over the repeal of the Corn Laws & that they will spend 20 years in the wilderness. It will take at lease that long to undo the damage caused over the last 14 years. I want to believe that the Labour Party is "keeping their powder dry" until after an election win but my fear is they are too timid & unwilling to make the changes the country desperately needs because they will remain cowed by the right-wing media.
1
@zorrodm What a pointless comment! It has nothing to do with Brexit.
1
@zorrodm Go away foolish troll, you have nothing of value to say as you are so ignorant of facts & reality

OP talking bolloxs

Troll, idiot or both.
1
@BigHenFor No change in the next 10 years at least. Too many believe the propaganda of the right-wing media own by tax exiles who want to impose their ideology on a country they don't live in. Blair & Brown could have been a reforming government but they chose to continue the "right to buy" as it was popular, never reversed the anti-Trade union legislation, pursued PPP/PFI with a passion & undermined the NHS by getting private providers in & setting up the "internal market". There can be no progress under the broken electoral system of FPTP.
1
Fartarge "I've know Vance for 12 years", I 💖 Drumpf, I 💖 Putin. Don't mention when I was extremely rude to Herman van Rompuy in the European parliament.
1
When I was young I was led to believe that corruption only happened in 3rd world countries. Then I discovered that if a thug robbed granny of her pension he'd get 10 years but the man in a shiny suit that stole £100k would only get 1 or 2 years in an open prison. Now under the Tories the fraud has risen to £100's of millions and nothing much will happen. A few cases for the media to highlight & the rest will do a deal to pay back 10% without any further consequences.

Some fool in the i newspaper a few days ago was saying, its time for Boris to return. As the saying goes with friends like Drumpf who needs enemies.
1
@stewie7338 WE won't get a trade deal with the US on favourable terms! They want us to take their hormone beef etc & have access to buying up aprts of the NHS.
