Now the fear is the melting North Pole ice & Greenland ice shelf having the same effect on the NAD.   25. I think there are 2 reasons why Trump has not been prosecuted, maybe 3. 1. If we do it then the GOP will go after a future Dem. president. 2. We can't find an untainted, unbiased jury the won't either ignore the facts and find him innocent or be accused of being a rigged jury to get a conviction. 3?   35. Poor Magnus needs to get better informed. Privatisation is not the answer. In the UK 9 energy companies have gone broke due to the massive increase in gas prices. Thatcher privatised the utilities and we had "The dash for gas" where coal fired power stations were closed and new ones used gas to generate the electricity. This was less efficient and a poor use for gas which is better for home heating and cooking. With the privatised companies the board of directors gave themselves massive pay rises and huge bonuses as well as share options. The shareholders got their regular dividends. All this had to come from the profit provided by the customer. Many of the privatised utilities are now owned by foreign corporations who remove profit from the UK. UK Power Networks is one company that is responsible for the transmission lines from power stations to homes, it is owned by China! Successive governments have had no problem allowing the sale of almost any business to foreign entities be they friendly or hostile. We were told that water companies had to be privatised to get investment for infrastructure upgrades and improved water quality. They have increased bills by 300% in 25 years and are now regularly pumping raw sewage into rivers and the sea. So TLDR Privatisation of any utility is bad
