  7. Sounds very familiar to what has happened in UK with PPE. Of course the govt should get their money back & whoever gave it to them/signed the contract should be prosecuted for not doing due diligence. Back to the UK, we gave contracts to companies with no history making PPE & a ferry contract to people who had no ships & no transport expertise. Corruption has proloferated due to Brexit & the Pandemic.

This is the problem of unrestricted Capitalism where money is free speech, you can call something "news" but it is classified as entertainment and the NFL is basically playing Russian roulette with the players health (without consequences). The risk is all to the players. Imagine if boxing were bare-knuckle and the fight only stopped when one fighter had been beaten unconscious. Take away the helmets and shoulder pads & see how many would play the game without reform of the rules.

  14. Great Britain might not be as great any more but in the UK you can have a better quality of life. Eggs are cheap & don't have salmonella. No tornados or hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, school shootings, banned books, religious intolerance (for the most part), No medical bankruptcy, no forced overtime, 3 months of snow winters, cops don't regularly shoot people 28 days full paid holiday, paid sick leave, paid maternity leave, paid paternity leave, join a union, better education, public transport, Ambulances are free, wildlife is mostly harmless (No bears, mountain lions, wolves, alligators, venomous snakes*) Easy access to Europe

It prefers to have the high death toll rather than do anything as such a large amount of politicians are bought and paid for by the NRA and gun manufacturers that they just ignore their voters.
