I never thought I'd say it, but after watching the race in Chicago that SVG won, and seeing all the issues they are having with the gen 3 supercars, I think we maybe should bite the bullet and just switch to NASCAR, here in Australia (I'm ducking for cover now lol)

  5. Steven Bradbury (The ice skater) cops a bad rap over that win, yes he did win after a heap of people fell over, but people tend to overlook the fact that it was an Olympic final, and he did qualify for it, so he had clearly won quite a few races before that ;)

  14. Yeah, they make more sense if you actually watch a couple from the side of the road. I lived in Melbourne for a while and the biggest problem I found was, because there are so few intersections that have them, not knowing you were approaching one and being in the wrong lane for it

Here in Australia if that make/model comes out with LED lights (e.g. upgraded model) and yours doesn't (Povo pack car lol) you can fit the upgraded lights to your car, but you can't put LED globes into your halogen light fittings (Pretty much all LED globes sold here actually have "Not for highway use" written on them)

  41. It was 43C (110F) here in Perth last week. It's a crazy summer here, it's been cooler than average in my opinion, until about a week ago. Now it's overcast, gloomy looking but hot easterly winds that have taken the place of the usual sea breeze. I usually love the heat but this is oppressive heat IMO

  44.  @Darryl_Frost  We were lucky, they sent us across via RHIB transfer, by the time we were due back it was too rough, so we scored an extra day on board as passengers, and ended up getting a ride back in a Sea Hawk :) The one thing that also struck me was the number of different languages spoken onboard. It was a great experience

A ton of development went into the Barra engine, clearly, because the original single cam version of this engine in the EA Falcon was hardly anything to write home about. I worked in a Ford dealers at the time, and never would have dreamt they would have ended up as legendary as they did

I’d like to know where you could have bought an R32 GTR brand new, in Australia, at the same time they were being raced here. As I said, I worked in a Nissan dealership at the time and the on road price - if you could even get hold of one - was $110k. Maybe some people did personal imports of them for less, but that was the price
