I love this series. So glad they did an episode on the Akkadian empire bc there’s so few documentaries on that empire. Thank you for uploading!!!
107
Exactly. The oldest known empire, until we find an older one!
72
Thank you! I’ve been desperate for some quality History!
46
I’ve seen this but really glad to see the channel putting out great content on ancient and prehistory!
46
More like this please. The new Neanderthal documentary was AWESOME and actually hadn’t seen it! Same with this one. More of these pretty please! Lol This channel is usually pretty damn great
31
I’ve been trying to find something new on the Huns!! Nice!!! I love this series. Please continue to upload the episodes lol
22
I don’t think I’ve seen this one. Some really, really great ancient and medieval documentaries lately!! Really enjoying the recent uploads. Thanks so much!!!
21
@richiemitchell6899 ”climate not change cuz me saw snow”
18
Sweet! Haven’t seen this one. This is one of my favorite channels in YouTube lol so many awesome uploads
16
GREAT series! THANK YOU for uploading ancient history topics!! There’s literally nothing more interesting
16
Woohoo! Enjoying this series very much! Thank you!!!
13
Thank you again for airing these really, really good AND NEWER ancient history documentaries! Love it
11
Do you have any sources? I’m actually asking bc I’d be fascinated to know more if that’s true!
11
@WaffleSauze I’ve done that too, but since I’m on YouTube in Massachusetts and not chilling in South America, listening to documentaries and reading articles is what I’ve got. What a weird comment
10
Thank you, AGAIN! I haven’t seen this one yet. But even when it’s a topic I’ve seen, I absolutely love seeing the perspective from other countries. At the very least there are always bits and pieces that aren’t in whatever US version has aired. This channel and the Hazards And Catastrophes channel are two of my favorite on all of YouTube! Please never stop uploading ancient history docs and series lol being from the US we don’t get a whole lot of quality educational programming like a lot of Europe has. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you guys making these available for us across the pond. Maybe some day I’ll get to move to Europe 😔 lol
10
Suuuper impressive how German permeated all three of these civilizations! 😂
10
@botsharing1702 what a quick way to stay stupid, huh? “Derr they said a word I don’t like so I don’t want to learn this topic”
8
I love the new info and docs about Doggerland. That ancient period of Europe and the UK is so fascinating
8
Thank you! Thank you so much for continuing to upload NEW ancient history content!!!!!
8
It’s a little ironic listening to German historians talk about American atrocities… not that there weren’t plenty, but I feel like this is one of those “fine people on BOTH sides” kind of documentary lol
8
@get.factual thank YOU for the great uploads and not sharing garbage like ancient aliens 🤮 I really enjoy the ancient history documentaries from UK and Europe that we don’t get to watch here in the states. I also love that most of the foreign language docs are dubbed instead of subtitled so I can listen to and learn new things as I go to bed lol keep up the great work and know that your efforts are much appreciated!!
7
Another big THANK YOU! Keeping my ancient interests fed and happy!😂
7
Thanks once again. Not religious but still find ancient topics fascinating lol as I’m sure you know doubt realize from my 8 million comments 😂
7
I think they eventually get to that explanation lol but yeah, it was a lot of bacteria, bad luck and wild coincidences. A lot of the deaths that are linked to the tomb are things that don’t happen for decades in some cases lol people will find “mysterious circumstances” any time they’re searching for it lol
7
This channel really does have the absolute best history docs. Thank you so much! Not many channels have stuff I haven’t seen yet anymore lol
6
@reesbritton6623 you already know they do lol
6
Thank you! Would love to see some more on ancient Middle East and first civilizations. Love this channel lol
6
Yeah this spear found a thousand years after a crucifixion in a city with spears buried everywhere is definitely the exact same one. Totally logical. 🙄 biblical history is pretty fascinating (the real history, not the fiction) without having to add in fake artifacts
6
@get.factual ditto! Human evolution and ancient humans/civilizations, and generally anything ancient Britain are my favorite and you’ve done a great job keep folks like me happy and entertained lol
5
Great upload… again! Thank you! Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!!
5
He said Longinus wrong lol is this another one of those AI narrators? I miss human narrators 😞
5
@kaloarepo288 i mean, it’s pretty basic to understand that as a sailor Columbus would have known the stories of accounts of lands to the west. Merchants and sailors of that time had plenty of knowledge of other sailors and merchants accounts. It may have just been legend at that point, but he most certainly would have known the stories. What Columbus DOES deserve credit for was beginning the genocide and systematic enslavement of an entire race of people whom he deemed as inferior.
5
@dawsondetrana5496 ohhhh they forgot! If only they had sticky notes. So Vikings had hundreds of stories that they passed down from generation to generation for over a thousand years without losing details… but it toooootally slipped their mind to mention or record that they found land to the west full of resources. I mean, aside from the world famous Vinland Map they made showing land to the west. And aside from the stories they DID pass down telling of lands to the west. But other than that, yeah, they totally forgot!
5
@mahakalabhairava9950 lmao for real.

Poseidon doesn’t play games

Hello Oman! Greetings from Massachusetts (USA)!
4
The library of Alexandria was actually destroyed a number of times by different groups of people
4
You DO know this channel didn’t MAKE this documentary… right?
4
Idk what that means but I think we’ve been a superstitious lot for basically as long as we’ve been human
4
10:14 “this would make explain” lol so it’s definitely AI narration. I get it’s cheaper and easier but wth! It’s so frustrating when I want to listen to a really interesting topic at night and get that awful computerized voice
4
Columbus never stepped foot on North America. He’d probably heard legends or stories of lands to the west from Scandinavian merchants. But I agree with you… it’s time to change the name of Columbus Day to Viking Day lol
4
I’m really enjoying the prehistory/Stone Age history topics of late! PLEEAASE keep sharing more like this!! We don’t get intelligent history here in the US so I need to rely on these from other countries. Please and thank you!! 😬
4
For now lol
4
The second I see the word “ancient” in the title my eyes widen just a little bit 😂
4
Thank you! Man it’s really cool to know this channel not just sees comments but actually seems to try their best to give the people what they want lol Isn’t this only half the episode? Is this like a condensed version? lol
3
Love it. More Christopher Clark and more ancient history please lol
3
Right?? I can count on 1 finger the number of Akkadian empire documentaries I’ve seen. This series is great, I really hope they have a second season
3
@yoshimitsu8643 I mean, I don’t generally believe everything I see. Most people are idiots.
3
… this channel doesn’t actually make the documentaries. They upload some great content, but they don’t produce them 😂
3
29:50 he’s speaking English lmao why did they dub it?!? 😂😂😂
