No that’s just Amber Heard in her true form 😂 Depp is weird, Heard is… well, I guess Chupacabra actually does fit pretty well for her lolol
2
@dzulkar9umar definitely agree with you. Looking at the destruction of so many ancient monuments is heartbreaking
2
Great series! Of course I love anything that relates to ancient times 🤷🏻♂️

@get.factual You’re very welcome! I liked it! I do still enjoy a full length episode for when I’m laying down to go to bed lol but I did really like this bc it cuts out a lot of the “noise” and filler and keeps just keeps it much more direct, more focused. It’s cool that you offer more than one option for ppl depending on which format they feel like watching. It’s just nice to know there’s a real human(s) back there actually making an effort to keep your subscribers happy! Especially all the ancient history dorks like me 😬 I also bet I speak for a lot of your subs when I say how grateful I am to never see any ancient aliens crap on this channel. Thanks again
2
5:14 lol as if it’s a total mystery whether they could make a hot air balloon fly
2
@ I’m a premature commenter lol but I’m with ya about learning more of indigenous oral histories, that would be fascinating to hear all the similarities and differences. Check out the channel Crecganford, I think you’d like a lot of his content if your interested in like the oldest stories and myths
2
11:32 this experiment is still going on
2
Your opinion. Not mine.
2
And you liked it? 🤦🏻♂️
2
I don’t think any part of that makes sense… just sayin
2
@kaloarepo288 ok? Not sure how that changes anything I said. So we should celebrate that he was a murderous salver that “discovered” something that’d already been found and never actually set foot on North America? The fact that it’s happened throughout history still doesn’t change anything I said
2
riverbend thank you! I feel sometimes like people just decide they like their version of history better than the real story, so eff it, they’ll just stick with the fiction. The stories of lands to the west would have been shared between merchants and sailors. He also never thought the earth was flat.
2
@stiannobelisto573 some of us in the west* There are those who don’t understand what’s wrong with the confederate flag - while claiming they love America lol there are a frighteningly large number of people who think enslaved peoples in the US were happy to be there and singing songs in the fields. History is becoming less and less important to people
2
@paulw314 there’s no evidence that China made it the Americas
2
Stoked! Thank you! Another one I haven’t seen yet. This is such a great channel lol
2
Sooo… episode 2? It’s been a month 😕 also… any chance of uploading Ancient Egypt: Chronicles of an Empire? I can’t find it anywhere 😔
2
@sharimeline3077 damn genetics are fascinating. It blows my mind how we’re able to keep learning soo much about where we come from… but at the same time still know seemingly very little. I’m curious about the evolution within Africa, but I’m ALSO super curious about if/how/when humans evolved AFTER leaving Africa. The development of our regional fascial features, skin color and eye color, even how our blood carries oxygen (like the Sherpas in Nepal). Also did other kinda of humans have deities? Did they worship anything or have rituals? How much alike are we, which parts of our genome come from which line lol so freaking many things I want to know!!
2
@organichuman I don’t buy into that. None of the people of science who I trust and respect, and who would be more than willing to accept the evidence if that’s where it pointed, have or would make that claim. There’s no evidence to support that human ancestors didn’t originate in Africa. We continued to evolve after leaving Africa, and we were not the first or only species of human to migrate out of Africa. I’m by no means educated in genetics or biology but I feel confident in saying our ancient ancestors began in Africa and, as recently as just 5-10,000 years ago our ancestors still had darker (not black) skin. Genetics will only continue to get better and I’m excited to learn more about what genes we got from Neanderthal and other human species that we’re tied to somewhere in the deep past.
2
@organichuman watch Miniminuteman, he’s legit and he’s hilarious. He also grew up just a couple towns over from me, albeit a feeeew years apart lol But he’s one of the ppl I trust a lot in terms of not BSing or twisting any truth. He’s also young and willing to accept new ideas and evidence
2
@mirquellasantos2716 yeah it’s kind of the pot calling the kettle black, if the pot was a genocidal regime filled with storm troopers, shock troops and vile, sadistic guards who enjoyed raping and torturing innocent people only to then lead them to the gas chambers once they’ve had the last of their dignity stripped from them. Sorry… sometimes I rant.
2
That’s the point of the show.
2
@Dr.Yalex103 Well said. I think those 3 characteristics pretty much cover it! People believe what they want to believe instead of reality lol 🤷🏻♂️
2
Please tell me this is just part of a series lolol
2
Hasn’t seen this! Thanks again !!

I feel like it was probably taken by the Babylonians, or it was moved and eventually stolen for its gold to melt down. It’d be neat to know what it would have really looked like in ancient times.
1
No sir, it has not. Im in a country with a section of people who can’t admit their party lost an election and quite literally ignores reality in place of whatever feeds their prejudices. Kinda seems like another “empire” is about to bite the dust
1
@Steve-318 umm… dude, you know that Christianity has been around longer and responsible for even more atrocities in history than Islam, right? Religion in general is the biggest cause of death and destruction in the history of mankind. I’m not saying one is better than the other or one is right and the other wrong; both religions have done more horrible, horrible things over the last 2,000 years than anything else.
1
It looks like one of the DW docs, and they (I think it’s the channel who does it) redo a lot of French and German language documentaries. It can be a little annoying at times lol but it’s really cool to be able to get some more history of the mainland. Esp from here in the US, we’re lucky to have 4-5 actually decent history series, at least that aren’t the lame pseudoscience type of shows
1
@Selfstatereflection I mean, that’s not untrue but what’s that got to do with the price of fish? lol That’s completely irrelevant to the persons comment 😂
1
@marieskavo7159 Was I funny? 🤔
1
Combined with Lethal Ice Hockey, a well known favorite of ancient Canadians
1
@get.factual Very much so lol it’s just so hard to get or find so many great docs from other English speaking countries… esp in the US bc dummies would rather watch ancient aliens 🤦🏻♂️
1
This might be the best one in the series. I love the ancient history and prehistory docs!! Thank you and more please lol
1
What about the 60,000 years before the convicts showed up? Lol
1
Ehemm… more please? 😊 Love it
1
@get.factual Of course you are! Can’t get enough of the docs from SBS and France, Germany, Australia giving a different perspective of ancient history than the crappy American shows lol Thanks again for all the great videos!!!
1
Yeah? So what IS the grail? All the relics that claim to be it are medieval forgeries (like every “holy relic” in every church) and there’s never been a contemporary document mentioning it. It would be awesome if it turned out to be real and was found, but I think it’s most likely a myth.
1
I concur👍🏼
1
I want to know more about early man in Northern Europe and Britain! Not a lot about the post-Roman to pre-Viking history
1
Agreed… there’s not a lot out there (at least in the US) in terms of decent documentaries about these different ancient groups and where we’ve come from
1
I don’t think any part of that makes sense… just sayin.
1
@irishdivajeffries6668 I agree. Exactly.
1
@anti-Russia-sigma I think that’s who they believe may have created the white sands prints? I’m not sure tbh. But yeah, there’s becoming a LOT more evidence of that being the case. Considering they were clearly traveling east and inhabiting the islands they came across, I don’t see why it would be unreasonable for a seafaring culture to eventually be able to reach the Americas. Seems logical actually. I think it’s so fascinating that we’re able to keep learning more and more of the history of human migration out of Africa, and how/when we moved, separated into different races and cultures, the societies that developed and how the land and the climate played a role in why we all developed different physical and physiological traits to help us thrive in the various environments we were in… sorry haha like I said, I just find it all fascinating
1
@jhrusa8125 you said it perfectly.
1
@danielefabbro822 i don’t see a single reputable source saying that it’s definitely Roman era. If real archaeologists do come out and say that there is some merit to this, I will gladly sing a different tune bc that would be absolutely fascinating. I hope it is true. But I don’t see anything that tells me it is - just that it’s “thought by some” to be Roman era. And if I do happen to find some reputable sources that say it’s even likely, I promise I’ll amend this comment lol I’m definitely intrigued bc I believe there’s a lot of evidence to point to Indonesian or southern Asian explorers coming to and inhabiting South America. The white sands footprints are REALLY fascinating and there are a lot of reliable experts who are working on studying them to find out who they could be from. There’s a pretty new documentary by Nova I recommend if you haven’t seen it. The title is “Ice Age Footprints”.
1
Australia has some great ancient history docs, not just about Australia but in general. Please more from Australia and UK bc they make so much better content than any US network or program lol
1
Thank YOU for posting interesting and NEW content! Appreciate the reply. Have a great weekend!

The mother of us all: The Humog
1
@jessepitt I’m thinking it’s a joke lol at least… I really, really hope it’s a joke.
1
@2012MRSME you don’t think humans have contributed to climate change?? Evidence from ice cores and climate records say otherwise. I’ll stick with the science, thanks.
