Bastards, DPR forces died for Lugansk!
1
It's Africa, its standard. Nothing new. Tutsi are warriors tribe.
1
Hey, once you see them with RPG-7 .... they look exactly like Volksturm.
1
5000 not 6000
1
Beautiful little hill.
1
Nah, these are cannon fodder - aka fertilizer. Each new Ukrainian recruit gets sunflower seeds. If you admit to 100 dead the real number is probably more like 200 and on other fronts its another 100.
1
Well, loosing a major battle is a turning point. Ukraine cannot afford to loose 20k of their troops - their best troops. And fortifications at the same time.
1
Not just Popasna - they are going to Bahmut from the south - they even crossed the river!! Ukrainian troops actually run away! Ukrainians cannot withdraw now - main road is cut and another road, that connects to a dirt road that may be used by small groups is about 8km or less away from Russian lines - probably cut tomorrow or under fire control by then.
1
13:31 - sure they left in order not to be encircled - but why did they left the bridge and not even defend it ???? Russians crossed onto the other side (!!!) So they did not retreat - they run away.
1
@meee2014 Their rate of fire is similar to one few months ago... When Ukraine blows up single depot, it makes the new. When Russia blows up 20... meh. they have at least 10:1 advantage if not more.
1
@alexanderiliev1431 Except GPS is jammed in a lot of places and/or can be disabled / damaged. Not to mention.... it can be tracked by the enemy (this is how Russia smoked one guy).
1
@alexanderiliev1431 Well, no, satellite tracking is also out as Russians would love it ;) Also its not 100% certain Russia would post pictures - at last not right away. It is of course fishy and there is zero proof & time will tell.
1
@alexanderiliev1431 Umm, you do know Russia also has.... satellites? And HIMARS is huge for a satellite - easy to see. Even oldest Russian satellites would not have any issues. As to the front, why not - you want to hit something 70km behind enemy front line - with 80km range means you need to be just 10km from the front line - or even touch closer. Your vehicle gets damaged and cannot drive off - enemy sends in some special forces to capture it. Its not really tight front line.... they can always be brought in by helicopter. The sale method works similar to above - except system is more damaged / "destroyed" & Russian attack takes the village on which outskirts it was. Finally, there is no technology in HIMARS given to Ukraine that Russia does not know nuts and bolts off - i.e. this was well vetted.
1
@alexanderiliev1431 LOL, sure it can be damaged, come on, we seen multiple ones get smoked on video already. All you need is plenty of drones. Lots of drones. You know they are firing at say central Donetsk so you know the approximate areas to check. Once you spot one, say moving away, all you need is your own artillery to fire on it. Heck, Russians smoked two of them by what I believe is following them to their base. I guess the main trick would be to just damage it a bit not totally disintegrate it. Towed out? How? With what? They would need to call ... a tow truck. All support vehicles would be either vaporized or disabled. How on earth do you pick loyal troops??? All troops should be loyal. And troops chosen were from rocket artillery already. So say among about 15000 troops max or less. I disagree totally about US knowing where HIMARS is at any time. It is not possible to know. Ukraine would need to tell them and then you may have leaks. Encrypted radios can be tracked. By the enemy. I only agree that HIMARS is nothing special, neither are the rockets in it - in fact selling few "spare" rockets would be very easy for Ukrainian side - after all this is ammo. Russia has similar rockets and plenty of them.
1
@alexanderiliev1431 HIMARS is not a magical weapon. Russia has over 200 better systems (tornado). To counter these you simply hunt them down - like Russia did and is doing. So what it moves after it shoots - all mobile artillery does exactly that. They took out two systems using cruise missiles. Radios were traced even before WWII ;))) Come on learn some history. If Germans could do it in 1942 I have a feeling everyone has the tech ;)
1
@alexanderiliev1431 They communicate the same way as everyone else - using encrypted radios. Sure it can be traced, but so what? In this war both sides more or less know each other moves as Ukraine gets NATO intelligence so they know what Russia does and Russia has its own good intelligence as well. US and Ukraine communicate most likely through encrypted internet links. There may be some sat phones or similar devices sprinkled about, but I would assume most would be over the internet. Radio tracking is not useless as you can destroy the source of the communication. HIMARS would be making Russian attack difficult if US gave all of their systems to Ukraine. There has not been any decrease in Russian artillery use - in fact there has been a step up in the south due to local Ukrainian counter attacks. This is according to pro Ukraine maps.
1
Even Polish channels are reporting this - its hard to be pro Ukraine but not see it run over.
1
No ;)
1
None.
1
Neither do ones in Ukraine. Given at least 5x fire power advantage guess whom is dying more.
1
Best way out now is a referendum. Sure, Albanians immigrated into Kosovo but what can be done now? Moral of the story is that if you have a minority in your country that is majority in some area, you need to worry. 15, 20% of Kosovo should go back to Serbia, where Serbs are majority. Essentially divide land along ethnic lines. They simply cannot live together, need to separate.
1
Because they can make money from corruption. People assume UA leadership is pro UA.
1
@SaulKopfenjager But there will not be any major deliver as there are no weapons available to deliver. This is what these guys do not get. By August their losses will be huge in man power and equipment - at current rate there is no way they can replenish their losses - it will only get worse.
1
The commando raid was 100% leaked. Russians even waited for the p boats to land the 60 commandos so they call in 2nd wave so they can liquidate all of them... And so RIP over 50 commandos (few were captured) and RIP unknown number of 2nd wave, possibly few hundred. And what are Russian losses - lots of ammo and maybe few killed? A dozen wounded?
