Yeah, sure, you worked for living - different rules for workers, different for bosses.

@Aaron-rw3lv They were not? How did it work out that they did kill so many? Accidents? 300,000+ accidents? Don't give US the matches!

@eugene4817 The system has been in operation for decades now so its not exactly news. Regular ballistic missiles are not exactly that fast - the time to react, detect & engage is about 30min & they are faster then hypersonic weapons. This is not news exactly, been that way for years. The issue is with surprise first strike, even with Russian system your missiles have to have a clear path to engage and fly off. If enemy missiles hit in the area of your launch vehicles you are toast. You cannot fly through tons of debris not to mention if you were just nuked. If missiles are say in eastern Ukraine the reaction time is uber fast - they are in Moscow in like under 5min. Also they can use some stealth so detection & decision could be like 60 seconds. Certainly being close to your enemy is more desirable then being further away - close is always better. This is why we had Cuban missile crisis and this is why any attempt to place missiles in Cuba or Venezuela would end badly.

Spot on - looks like a lot of Ukrainians are going away to Siberia for a very long time.

Tiny minority. Most are neutral or disagree but not strongly. About 10x as many agree or agree strongly. There is no "revolution" in the works. Why would there be? Its not like Ukraine is "nice".

US killed 100s of 1000s of civilians yet it calls a truck or car bomb terror attack. So why cannot Russia do the same?

She is a gift to democrats they would like to re-gift.

We have a lockdown in AB. This is why the question to Nenshi is what on earth is he going to lock down.... this is why he is so low on actual material - just hot air.
1
@DVinCanada Effect of these is minimal - we have closed most schools. Other provinces closed only small fashion stores and theaters - most retailers such as Walmart or Home Depot are "essential service" thus this is mostly lipstick on a pig and just a hit on the small business. Check it out yourself what is exactly closed - no big stores are closed anywhere in Canada. Did Ontario close schools? Nope. Why not?
1
@DVinCanada "Leaked memo says Alberta bars, restaurants will be closed to in-person dining at midnight Sunday" this will put us ahead of say ON as they have not closed schools but we did.
1
@sunkeet230 If you are so sure of that.... then why not support people voting that had residency there for say more then a year? Well?
1
@sunkeet230 Why not do as after WWI - when each region of defeated powers had to pick where they will belong. If this was done after dissolution of Soviet Union it would prevent like 10 wars. It could have been done after 2014. Heck Russia just wanted them to be nice to Russians and not join NATO but keep the land.
1
@sunkeet230 Catalonia is a clear example of EU double standard. Catalonia is very rich and its secession from Spain would weaken Spain a lot. So they opted to keep them, by force if needed. Donbass is also the richest part of Ukraine...

I say we patch things up with China in secret and try to decrease our dependency on US. This way when uncle Sam says to jump we do not ask how high.
1
LOL, what Canadian made products - we would simply get more stuff from US & some low quality stuff from Asia. Our economy would suffer and we would be all much poorer in addition to our world standing taking a dump. What effect would there be on China? It would gain a boost and its world standing would be not affected & could possibly increase.

Putin calls Zelensky a bluff and wins.
1
Oh so after feeling what Ukrainians felt Russians did rise up, same way to the occasion and stand behind their government and president. Well done.
