  4.  @LZtastic  I always feel 100hp per liter is very respectable. Add induction and it goes up. The newer BRP engines for skidoo are E-Tec. They pinpoint direct oil the bearings and mop up the excess. Long gone from the oil mist of original 2 strokes

  5.  @jamesbeer9886  never seen a tractor v6 diesel. But the name of that game is torque. These rotary's are said to have very poor torque output but that can be overcome by a multy speed close ratio transmission. This thing is go cart centrifugal clutch single speed I think.

  9. I'm sure there are details and improvements that aren't being mentioned. I like the idea that the seals can actually be a source of lubrication via being some fancy sintered material and have positive oil pressure. The poor wankle had more seals without that option. And they worked pretty well. As far as that rotor if it's made of ceramic and has low mass it could work. I imagine banding it in something fancy.

  18.  @Someguy6571  So funny that we all accept the incredible oil output of multi cylinder 2 stroke outboards. If you run one in a test tank the top of the water gets a thick slick. It's only in the last 10 years Evanrude has worked to direct oil and scavenge back excess.

  26.  @ischwhit6747  yes it is physically impossible for liquid to burn. It just like solids must change phase into an aerosol of molecules in order to combine and bond with oxygen and perform oxidation. It is a chemical process activated by heat. Liquid cannot burn

  29.  @sandervanderkammen9230  would you consider the stock rx8 engine displacement 1.3L or 3.9L I was considering the smaller displacement and power output when I compared it to any normal piston engine. If I was incorrect then I agree it's less efficient.

  40. Only one punch per Rev. The rotor does a reduced speed dance around the output shaft. Yes 3 power pulses per full rotor rotation. But 3 shaft rotation per 3 pulses. Its just like a 2 stroke in that regard

  43. I would make a plate like this . Place the rotor in its most volumetric position and measure how many cc of oil it takes to fill the void. Its how its done

  48.  @unmountablebootvolume  well with a mower I'm pretty sure an adult can manage to have charged batteries before any grass emergencies arise. The Ryobi is quieter and lighter than any gas mower. The battery packs are like 2 lbs

  50.  @gregkramer5588  I agree to an extent. It certainly won't go anywhere if the use too much money on the build up for the wrong application and it is too costly. But it would be great for motorized small craft flight and who knows what in so much of the world that is not the US
