@danieldebritto7168 But it's not just Spain that does a much better job of enforcing their laws, with real justice in mind, than the u.s..

@pepelepew1227 China can't really do much in other countries anyway. China is the mafia loan shark that only desperate countries would go to. The Taliban and China do have one thing in common. Corruption on an economy killing scale. As well as their socially isolationist mindset.
2
@trentl I guess we will know soon enough. He can't keep on just pounding his chest at the west. Besides, an invasion would be counter productive if his aim is to limit NATO expansion. Ukraine can't stop an invasion. But, they will make it expensive.
2
Only half is embarrassed. The rest are in a personality cult. Two if you count religion.
2
Putin has made all those other ex-soviet states very nervous.
2
Putin might be stupid enough to order the use of battlefield nukes, but would the military actually follow thru ? That might be a step too far even for them.
2
@estiennetaylor1260 Of course you would pick a cartoon panda. 🙄
2
@jomo3564 Even the Taliban is going to have trouble making a country out of Afghanistan. Wanting to control the country and keeping control of the country are totally different realities.
2
With so much equipment being sent to Russia, what are they going too fight with ?
2
Why ?
2
Let's face it. The system that supplies our energy isn't interested in increasing production. Especially, after the great price collapse. Since it could drive down prices. Every step in the system can become a bottle neck. That can be used to control supply.
2
@Mohdis123 They have an 80% rate of purchase in buildings that are not even built yet. That's an over heated market. Only held up by the state How long that can go on is anyone's guess. Because, I am sure that incomes are not rising that fast.
1
Robert Groot The chips get smaller. But the phones keep growing larger. Of course small phones don't work well with an aging population. I have too have the largest screen they make. My first phone lasted me 10 yrs. They finally stopped supporting it. Now I am lucky if the new ones survive 2 yrs.
1
@Ulysses.S.Grant.For.The.Union. China has been hit with one disaster after another. Their zero covid policy is strangling their economy. Their housing market is on the edge of a complete collapse. It's only a matter of time before something brings the whole thing down.
1
@xiaogangdasha That may be the case. But, Putin has left the world with no other choice but too find other sources. It may hurt, but it's a price that will pay off in the future. Becoming dependent on Russia for anything was a major mistake. We thought that the days of the iron curtain were over. But, apparently not. So, what has Putin accomplished so far. 1) showed the weakness of their military. 2) strengthened NATO. 3) forced more nations to pick sides. And Putin can't even get official support from his allies. 4) this war is quickly depleting both Russia's defensive and offensive capacity.
1
@xiaogangdasha It does seem that we fell for Russia's propaganda of having built a first class military. Obviously it wasn't true. The problem with the Russian military is that they didn't believe that they would ever have too fight a first class enemy. And the culture of looking out for number one has led to corruption on an industrial level. Why give your men new equipment that they are just going to sell on the black market. When you can do it yourself. While the technology has improved. The culture and mind set supporting it never did. If the level of corruption has reached these levels. I have to wonder if it didn't extend into their nuclear forces as well. Since obviously maintaining equipment isn't seen as a priority.
1
@xiaogangdasha I never said that our system isn't corrupt in its own way. But, dispite that we have the most advanced military in the world. And our shit actually works and is kept in working order.
1
@xiaogangdasha Russia started this war thinking that nobody would care. It would be over before NATO could even respond. Well they were very wrong. We did care and we knew that Ukraine is only a starting point. Moldova is next. Putin wants to control Ukraine and with it control of the Black sea. We can't allow either one to happen. So excuse me if i have such little sympathy for their present position.
1
@xiaogangdasha I enjoy any conversation that isn't in all CAPS. 😁 The people of Ukraine have proven that they are survivors. They will rebuild like they have time and time again over the generations. May the fates smile on your house.✌️

Apparently Haiti is going to suffer until they run out of people. You forgot to mention the various natural disastors that come from being on a fault line and being in the natural path for major hurricanes.
1
@alexandrakiger932 So i guess they have recovered from the 2010 earthquake ? Yes, the people of Haiti should be the ones to decide their future. However they seem to be still going in the wrong direction.
1
@alexandrakiger932 Oh please ! I turned off my TV in 2016.
1
The long term results is still a major question. Sometimes these actions have long term affects they didn't expect. It could reduce demand. They need people to have an income level beyond pure survival needs.
1
@MarceloBenoit-trenes In what areas and markets ?
1
Why does she bother you ?
1
Russia wouldn't be in this fix if Crimea had been enough for Putin. But no, he wanted a path to Moldova. To bring both Ukraine and Moldova under his control.
1
@soundofprice So we should just back off and let others control the board ?
1
Thomas Gleri We tried that before. Keep our boys out of foreign wars. Well, we all know how well that went. But now the game is even more dangerous than ever. And it's about to get a lot worse.
1
@narharjoshi7150 We have never done anything in the name of democracy. And half the time. The only reason to get involved is just too counter other players in the game. This is the most dangerous game man has ever had to deal with. And we have no choice but to play.
1
@narharjoshi7150 Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Somalia, Lebanon... Is that enough ?
1
@TheMementoOfElysia I never said it was right. And the us doesn't work alone. The u.s. can't do much if we don't have at least political support, if not direct military support, from our allies.
1
@siclusiferx I couldn't agree more. But we keep electing these idiots. So...
1
@siclusiferx Getting into a conflict is easier than getting out. Helloooo Vietnam. In some ways we are still paying for decisions made at the end of ww1.
1
@siclusiferx Now that i have no idea about. Since most stuff is done behind the scenes. How much was killed before it got started. How much pressure was used ? Was pressure even needed ? We may never know.
1
@siclusiferx I agree. Let the change continue. It's going to be their world soon.
1
@siclusiferx Like you said..a pretext. Either way many accepted the lies. Even after it gets uncovered. 'My country right or wrong'.
1
@siclusiferx Why did you start out saying 'you...' I only get one vote you know. So don't make me responsible for this whole mess. I always vote for the side I expect will screw up the least.
1
@soundofprice If you guys want to keep arguing over this be my guest. But it's getting late. Time for a beer, a bowl and some music to end the day. Maybe we can continue this tommorow.
1
@soundofprice If we had stayed home. You would all be speaking Russian or bowing to Allah. 🖕
1
Thomas Gleri Is that a plus or a minus ?
1
Thomas Gleri Standing on the sidelines isn't my style. Vote or shut up.
1
Thomas Gleri 😁
1
@Pajdas610 And why would that be ? And what country are you in ?
1
@miguelluedekezelenka6496 Its the same thing that has justified wars for a very long time. Its nothing new. Very little ever is. Proxy wars was the new war front since ww2. Since direct conflict has become suicidal. Its become a battle over local and regional influence. I am not saying its right. But we have tried the spectator side of things. And those worked out even worse. And we should have the balls to put our people on the line if our words mean anything.
1
@Pajdas610 Ok, now it makes some sense. But, is ethnicity the right method for choosing who's boot is standing on your neck. And Russia is well known for its lack of individuality and free will. So how would the world be better with Russia holding up the world. They have no navy to speak of. Their transport and supply system is crap. Their military is built around defense not offence. The same with China. So enlightened me.
1
@Queenmaster1976 ?
1
@43333akjfkgodel We are talking about Argentina. It's not well known for a functional gov. So we will have too let some time pass before passing judgement.
1
@Dhdh365 For a country so dependent on exports, and imports, China has to walk a thin line. They talk big, but have to be careful on how far they push it. They don't want to be in Russia's position.
1
@Dhdh365 Well, it might take another 100 yrs before anyone can access those resources. And with luck by then they won't be as profitable.
1
@Dhdh365 Do you even understand the conditions of the Antarctica ? It makes Siberia look warm and cozy. This isn't Alaska we are talking about. It's the most violent conditions outside of the deep ocean.
