  8. LoL...like dental care for seniors who didn't want it or need it? Most of us have dentures. Why hasn't he increased OAS/ CPP for mine years now and bring us up to par with inflation? Why does he let low income seniors and the disabled languish in poverty and impossible situations? Shame in the Liberals and NDP. While they collect their $250,O00.00 pensions, they expect us to live on $1200.00 to $1500.00 a month! I'd like to see them try that!

I do remember some years ago we had a brown out for a few days ( in southern ON)l and we were told the problem was in the US) I think one of the eastern power grids. Anyway people panicked because we could not get gasoline at the pumps and the grocery stores were shut down by the health Dept. The third day the power was restored, but I can only imagine the chaos if it was longer!

  38. I use the food bank sometimes as a low income senior. There are no "plates" of food. You can go once a month and get the usual canned goods. Beans, canned vegetables, tuna, and fruit, cereal, rice, pasta etc. The fridge & freezer stuff always varies depending on in donations. Usually milk, eggs, and two kinds of meat. There might be some fresh vegetables but you only get a few pieces. You can always get bread, but it is almost always out dated.
