  1. The problem with the "Race isn't important" thing is it is always selectively applied - e.g. only really ever applied to white people. Everyone else's race apparently is very important and must be highlighted and celebrated, but white people must not notice their own, unless it is in some negative or apologetic way. Perhaps the ideal that we all look past race is unrealistic, if noble?

  2. We don't know if he's innocent or guilty of some or all of the accusations. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is (guilty), but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

  3. I have always strongly disliked Russell Brand and could easily see him being guilty. However it is alarming that a government is, on the basis of anonymous accusations, essentially going after someone who has not yet been charged with anything let alone convicted, pushing for him to be de-platformed and attacking his livelihood. Shades of East Germany. We must defend due process even for unsympathetic characters.
