  10. My previous public school celebrated Christmas up until 2yrs ago. I dressed up as santa, was given x amount to spend on gifts. I went to shops in my area and got each grade a certain type of gift. My principle was a party member and she was cool with Christmas, even bought me the suit etc. Granted the gifts weren't wrapped cause that would be a ton of effort but still cool to hand out gifts as santa. :D

  20. Interesting fact in China. If you steal an endangered or rare bird, you get MORE jail time than if you would traffic or kidnap a woman/child in China. Drug dealers can face execution yet people that kidnap women get a slap on the wrist/minimal jail time plus maybe a fine. The people responsible for chaining the woman up in a village didn't really get punished. During the Olympics, this was all shadowed out to not add to negative publicity for China. Eileen Gu's rising popularity was also at the same time, she said nothing about this.. Heaven forbid you use your star fame and popularity to help rather than serve your own needs for financial gain and increase your own ego/popularity.

  23. As a teacher over here, this isn't the norm. You don't hear about stuff like this in big cities. I highly doubt any of these schools have foreign English teachers. Also, schools in big cities have flags from other countries IN the school, from countries like Japan and The US. I have students that openly say they like The US, in front of the Chinese teacher and director. So...these kids being taught this crap are in smaller schools i'm guessing. Another interesting thing. China is always portraying Russia as their friend and ally. Yet, i've never heard any kid say they like Russia but have heard them say they like Japan and the us

Yes, i'm saying this supposedly floating plane isn't real and was added via say after effects or some program. So perhaps it was the Chinese govt that took this video and added the plane. lol
