  1. I must say I don't agree with you on the stance that Germany and France breaks European solidarity or something. These are the countries which condemned russian aggression from day 1, delivered significant amount of weapons, other support, taken Ukrainian refugees (although they are not bordering countries) I assess that smearing German president was a strategic blunder for Zelensky, but doing so with Macron would be even worse if it lead to Le Pen victory. It is generally a beter strategy to express greatfulness for a small help if you want to continue to be helped.

  4. Indeed it may come the day that Poland will have to get out of the EU.   5.  @ukaszfiuk2719  It is a modern estimate. The ship had been modernized twice, last time in 2020 and it had lots of pricey weapons on board. Don't fall into ahistorical analysis trap, the fact that the Ukrainians managed to sink that ship doesn't mean it was weak. Ukrainians knew it weaknesess very well and the Russians were reckless, with the quality of their comandship literally on the bottom of the Sea.

It is part of the reason Russians lost near Kyiv and there was no invasion on the west Ukraine from the Belarus teritory. You might not know it but Russian generals should know better- as it was part of USSR.

  20.  @Saufs0ldat  Actually the fact that Russia hasn't declared the war has surprising consequences. Its contract soldiers, when ordered to go to Ukraine often simply break the contract. They can't be tried for desertion because there is formally no war. Russia can't afford for mass mobilization either- not only it doesn't have the money but also it would quickly lead to collapse of the Federation

  23.  @bicker31  Put it simply- If the US chose not to help Ukraine, other European countries wouldn't simply do anything because they are weaker than Russia plus have no obligations to Ukraine. If the US choses to help Ukraine and wants their allies to do the same, then it should participate accordingly to its potential. There are European countires whose contribution in GDP share is much higher than the US (and you can't expect small countries do the same as the US in the nominal terms), there some European countries who simply don't want to help and only pretend. Europe is not a single entity.

  33. Russians have realised that the only way to get out for Russia is to negotiate. The Russian propaganda has soften since last 2 days, on "Russian reddit"- pikabu - it is now forbidden to post insults against other nations (it has been really bad before- especially Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Poles and Lithuanians were heavily insulted, and the kremlobot were posting really mad things there) Lavrow cries that Russia almost agreed on Ukrainians proposals made in Turkey, but the Ukrainians toughened thier stance (because they are winning). The lack of advances on the fornt for Russians means total defeat. 3-4 weaks (Ukrainians have to be trained on delivered weapons and the deliveries are ongoing) and Ukrainians will be able to start a succesful counteroffensive. The war can be finished fairly quicky if they got more airplanes and some modern cruise missiles, without it the artillery& tank war in Donbabwe and Luganda can take months.

And I also have to admit that the level of military help from Baltic states, Czechia and Slovakia really suprised me.   39. Quick answer is no. Outcome when Russia will get any Ukrainian territory and won't pay the reparations is a weakening of world's security system. It would be a precedent, where nuclear capable country can make gains (in 19th century imperialistic logic) from offensive war. That would led to many more wars around the world and to proliferation of nuclear weapons

But they can't do this now, their training and supply capacity is being used to the fullest extent, including Belarusian resources in this matter. It is possible that they will have 3 million army in a year if we fail to help Ukraine as much as we can to break this logic of the war of attrition where larger has to win.

They haven't won a single major tactical victory. It is obvious that they've lost since over a month.
