  16. Check out the map from Kazakhstan westwards. Armenia Georgia, Ukraine are all in a line along Russia’s border and all have significant oil reserves. Putin opposes a pipeline across the Caspian Sea and has fought endless wars to impose his rule over the area. This is not about old Soviet borders. It’s about stopping that oil from competing with Putin’s oil in Siberia and North Russia. Ukraine started to exploit its new oil reserves in Donbas and Crimea. Suddenly there’s a civil war fomented by Putin. He’s now escalated it to a full on invasion.

  23. Battle of Midway - 1942 the first three bomber and torpedo attacks were crushed by the Japanese. Another flight went out, found nothing and came back. That US ship did basically nothing. However USA in the end destroyed three out of four Japanese aircraft carriers in a resounding victory. Ukraine is right now in a similar situation. There will be losses but they have the means and the leadership to win.

  26. Every one of those examples of European misery is wrong. Our costs have gone up and weather has been colder than usual but we simply get on with our lives. Putin’s gas card failed but we just moved on. He can’t play it again. Even Germany has turned its back on Russian energy.

  28. The pre 1917 borders are not ideal. Ukraine borders reached the River Don and around the whole Sea of Azov. Poland hardly existed. East Germany was not Russian. Neither was any of Hungaria or Czechs or the Slovaks. Albania and Romania were not part of Tzarist Russia.

  33. The best way to destroy Putin is low oil and gas prices. His customers agreed $30 below market rates. When rates hit $80, Putin will be selling below cost. Then there’s the lack of maintenance degrading what Russia can deliver at any price.

  42. Ukraine is unlikely to waste its ammunition on a demonstration attack on Moscow. Russian patriots might have done it but the warheads failed to explode. False flag is the most likely. The surprise is that Putin hasn’t demolished a couple of residential blocks like he did to bounce himself into power.

  49. During WW2 the British removed unexploded bomb fuses just like guys at end of this video. BUT they literally steamed out the contents. Wet steam literally melts the explosive out of that fuse hole.
