To suggest Coronavirus was made in a lab VASTLY exaggerates the power of outfits who might want to try. Viruses are random number generators. Messing with nature allows them to escape. The Chinese wet markets caused SARS-1 yet the Chinese Communist Party did nothing. Even worse they covered it up.

@joemitchell1287 There IS NO requirement for a hard border. Even at the height of "The Troubles" (much of that before UK joined the EU there was no hard border. UK and Ireland already have different VAT rates, different road fuel duty, different booze duty and different income tax rates. Adding an import tariff to that would be no problem. The EU knows that but it suited them to stir up trouble an UK was too naive to see it coming.

@joemitchell1287 If O'Brien actually allowed his interviewee to reply he might have dug something out. Instead all he did was make himself look petulant and got nothing helpful one way or another from JRM.

Covid-19 is a bat virus but it has been edited. I suggest LBC gets Ivor Cummins to ask the questions. He properly knows what he is talking about and he does ask the right questions. Theses two are just looking for reasons to pretend it’s not been gene edited. Neither bothers to notice that bats and pangolins are hibernating at the time this virus is supposed to have started in humans.
