12:05 What... You get lumbar as standard on a Skoda Scala for pete's sake
1
Wh... what else would he do? Fully wing it doing a voiceover?
1
I really don't understand why anybody would buy the VW Touareg R when even the base Touareg costs the same as a base Porsche Cayenne in some markets. I can't imagine the Touareg R will be much cheaper than a Cayenne hybrid elsewhere, either.
1
Stereotypes, positive or not are extremely hard to get rid of.
1
Even if these cars aren't really comparable, if I had 150k I would rather get the Škoda cause even the Škoda has way too many gadgets for my taste. Besides the BMW looks trash in and out.
1
This does once again leave the BMW 2-range quite confused. The other series are pretty concise, however the 2-range has this, a rwd 2-door coupé, a fwd 4-door sedan on a completely different platform, an awd small crossover, a fwd 5-seat MPV and 7-seat minivan. What is going on, BMW?
1
Late, but I think I have a good explanation for the huge charging flaps in some cars. China doesn't have a single combined charging port like European CCS or the even sleeker American NACS, instead they have a separate slow charging and separate fast charging ports next to each other. Since they're next to each other, any car sold there has to accommodate that with a larger flap that can fit two ports next to each other. So naturally, cars sold in China too will have larger flaps.
1
I actually like the VW interior more because I absolutely hate it when the infotainment screen is just plopped on like a tablet that protrudes from the dash like in the audi
1
The pop up vote doesn't exist anymore, youtube removed the feature months ago.
1
They say that Genesis is coming to Europe but I just want to know when, I want to get my hands on a G70 manual like yesterday.
1
Realistically speaking this competes more with the Jaguar XF and Volvo S90, however Mat is comparing it to the full size sedans and neither Jaguar nor Volvo make S-Class/A8/7-Series competitors.
1
I don't really get the point of this to be quite honest? VAG already offers the Škoda Kodiaq and the VW Tiguan Allspace and this has nothing going for it in comparison to those or distinguishing it from them.
1
Lorry
1
Not suitable for taller drivers? Well hey, MGs gone right back to their roots then haven't they!
1
I sort of wish you could get the exclusive exterior design on this C-Class as well, not just the E- and S-Class.
1
The rear design is still just so awful with those rear lights and gaping indent for the license plate... Hard to believe the same company brought us the classy current 3-series and then this and the likes of the 2-series gran coupe.
1
So would the front license plate go where that transparent concept plate is? If so... Uhh...
1
For the life of me I thought this was a sedan. Huh. The hatchback definitely improves my views on this i4 in general.
1
Since it was probably revealed at the same time but isn't worth a whole separate video, I think it's fine mentioning it here.
1
Who gives a damn about ooo the soft touch plastics are slightly better How about instead of getting a fugly overpriced Audi Q7 where everything is optional I just get a Peugeot 5008 GT fully loaded and save over 60k?
1
For such an expensive car as a porsche, you would expect better design, even so.
1
The graphics for the infotainment are horrid and ancient but at least it has android auto so you don't have to use it. Cough cough Toyota
1
I wish they'd have a unique steering wheel for their bigger cars instead of using the same one on each car
1
Looks are one thing, but with practicality, interior quality, tech and all that this doesn't hold a candle to the Hyundai i20, Kia Rio and Škoda Fabia to name a few that are the same size and cheaper. For the Price of a base Hybrid Yaris you could get a Fiesta, Polo, Jazz, Corsa and save a couple thousand pounds.
1
Like... If you're gonna make an SUV just make it an SUV. The Velar and the Macan both prove that even with a regular SUV shape you can still make it good looking, don't try to make it a "coupe"
1
The Arteon is the successor of the CC
1
@sebxx Yeah that's a weird modern car thing... I recently drove a 2017 Astra and it didn't have it either
1
7:35 Well the Model X is a minivan anyway lmao. Fast yes, but still a minivan lmao
1
I wish there was something at the front balancing out the oversized grille like separate fog lights or something, now there's just big blank space in the corners.
1
If I was forced to get an RS3 I'd rather get the RS3 sedan, looks much better but then again I would rather spend 90k on an F-Type with 10k left to use on extras than a base model RS3
1
A base model RS3 is 90k in euros where I live though, an F-type coupe base is 80k
1
Kodiaq is a class above
1
4:50 Well luckily the updated Kodiaq vRS is a petrol, coming out soon. If you're buying new you can't get the diesel vRS anymore.
1
"posh" and "Volkswagen Golf" don't really go together with the mismatching with the messy material placement and blocky dashboard design of a 2010 dodge journey, it's so cheap and ridiculous. I drove one for 2 months so I know it's ergonomic and simple but it just feels and looks bad.
1
Hate to repeat myself but what exactly makes it a coupe if it still has a regular hatchback and five doors
1
Soo... This is Volkswagens version of the Ssangyong Tivoli XLV? Also seems way too expensive considering the quality and design
1
@MrRandomTwat The comment you replied to was talking about the Ranger Raptor, not the F-150 Raptor. The Ranger Raptor just is garbage.
1
In fairness you guys also have a horrid currency
1
31k for the top level one is very reasonable when you consider this channel reviewed a supermini for the same price just a while ago...
1
3:48 For a car this expensive or this new the blind spot warning system really shouldn't be an indicator from an 80's econobox slapped onto the wing mirror like that.
1
Jaguar XJ isn't being made anymore.
1
Nope they're importing it to Europe now. Probably won't sell too well cause it's a new sedan model, but hey.
1
Jaguar XJ not made anymore so not in comparison.
1
All I want to know is does it have a hatchback instead of a trunk. That being one of the biggest disappointments in the model 3. That and the quality control.
1
The Seltos isn't sold in the UK or anywhere else in Europe.
1
Yeah that tends to happen with a car that's nearly twice the price
1
It just looks so good on the outside. Too bad the interior is the usual absolutely dreadful plastic fest like any other pre-2015 Mercedes (that wasn't an S-Class)
1
"Coupé" not even 3 seconds later "Four door" You can make the argument that a sloping roofline makes a coupé but then Mondeos, Insignias and Civics are coupés too, so. But then what's the difference between this and the new A-Class sedan? This has an uglier rear?
1
Base model 100D meaning the 100D without any additional extras and just the 2 + 2½ seating arrangement. But I mean "cheapness of the interior" yeah because the materials in a Tesla are totally worth 120-160k when you can get a brand spanking new Panamera for less
1
@ larry Spiller I suppose I could compare it to the 75D although then again the 75D starts at 20k more so the point still stands. Personally Teslas charging network makes no difference as I don't make long enough distances to warrant the usage of one but more importantly they're nowhere close to the routes I use (there's only 7-10 for a country this big for the near future). FSD however is something I would never get, there is no traffic in this country and I like driving. I feel like the Model X is respectable but for my usage a bit unnescessary. I mean who cares anyway 99% of youtube commenters (including me) couldn't afford an I-pace or a Model X in their lifetime anyway
