  1. The whole war was unnecessary. Ukraine could have stayed neutral. But then NordStream 2 would be operating. We needed to provoke Russia into attacking to conduct the economic war. The sanctions were supposed to destroy Russia economically. Instead they are destroying Europe.

  2. Every military commentator says Ukraine can't win. But if they were to fight and die they will be martyrs. We must support these brave people fighting for their freedom. We must impose sanctions that include energy sales from Russia to Europe.

  3. Russia is saying they will annex 4 provinces of Ukraine, and once it's part of RUssia, Russia will defend its territory with nukes. Putin said (multiple times) he's not bluffing. CNN and western media is telling the US/W. European public, Putin is bluffing. US will supply more ane more powerful weapons to Ukraine. If Russia starts to lose the conventinal battle, they will use their Nukes. US might (even before that ) send tactical nukes to Ukraine. Both sides will push this until there is a nuclear war at least until tactical nukes are used. When N. Vietnam supplied men and weapons to the VIet Cong in S. Vietnam, we bombed N. Vietnam. Russia might well do the same for weapons depots inside Poland. The US is intent on destroying Russia. Russia will not go down without using nukes. CNN and western media is trying to convince the public in the US and W. Europe Russia is bluffing. This could end up a very tragic mistake.

  4. The tanks won't make that much difference. But longer range missiles will make a difference. This is bit by bit escalating the war. So far Russia has done nothing. The really big advantage of the US is its intel. Not the intel by small drones in the field but intel from radar planes flying over NATO airspace and satellite info. Russia might call these active participants in the war and shoot them down even if the planes are over NATO air space.

  8. Only two people know how the Ukraine crisis will end, the two people who started it, Blinken and Biden. The NS-2 pipeline will bring ~60B in revenue to Russia. It's total defense budget is 65B/yr so NS-2 if it proceeds is a dagger at the heart of US neocons. It will seriously constrain the ability of US neocons to wage war on a whim. After failing to stop NS-2 with threats of sanctions to German companies, the neocons have created this crisis, accusing Russia of wanting to invade, when Russia says it has no desire to invade. The propaganda war is waged not just by the US admin but all of US mass media. (with the exception of Tucker at Fox. And it has been pretty effective. But Tucker's youtube vide has 1 million views while this has 110,000 views. The fake narrative that Russia will invade has Ukraine spooked and it's crushing its economy. As the cry of "IMMINENT" invasion drags on for weeks and months, we're all waiting for Godot. And the propaganda will be shown to be false. It's much more important for Russia to get 60B/yr from NS-2 than to invade Ukraine. With the added revenue, time is on Russia's side. The US facing a period of inflation that will rival what happened after the Vietnam war needs a war now rather than later.

  10. Ukrainian army doesn't want the counter offensive. Russia is prepared and waiting. Thats why Zelensky said we need F16 we need 50 patriot batteries, we need A,B,C,D none of which they will get. Looking for an excuse not to fight. Ukraine is also afraid of a trap. Russia might pull back in some area luring Ukraine to move forward only to expose their forces to the 1000's of drones flying overhead. What's most likely to happen is Ukraine will do a few more probing actions, then pause. (except the attacks on civilians in Belgorod, that might ramp up) The attacks on civilians is something Russia didn't plan on. The counter offsensive has started. What's not clear is has it also ended and everything shift to the terrorist operatoins against civilians.

  11. Putin is worried about Russian casulaties, very worried. US is not at all worried about Ukrainian casualties. In part because Ukrainian casualties is a well kept secret. Although S. Ritter says Ukraine casualties are above 100K. Will the US propaganda about Russian alleged "war crimes"? generate more support? NO The US has already maxed out on propaganda. Ukraine has over played this card. Interesting the "Spider" Marks agrees with Gen Milley that Ukraine can not win. I think all the generals see Russia pull back in Kherson to easily defensible areas, and sit there while the 300K new troops are trained, orgainzed into fighting units and the equiped, with 1000's of Iranian drones, millions of N. Korean 155mm ammo, and a war time Russian economy that got started only a few months ago. It may take a few more months but Ukraine will run out of HV transformers as will Europe. US sends 2 NASAM- batteries a total of ~150 missiles? Ukraine says they shot down 70 RUssian missiles and drones in 1 night. Using a $1.2M missile to take down a $20K drone is not sustainable. They should get a $$ quote on the Chinese SHORAD system. Except the Chinese might not sell them to Ukraine.

  12. Ukrainian claims of battlefield wins now is mostly fiction. We hear stories of Ukrainian secret police rounding up 16 year old boys to be drafted into the Ukrainian army. And of newly conscrpted soldiers abandoned by their officers in the Bakmut area. No food no ammo, no water, no transportation to withdraw. If the survive they have to walk out.

Zelensky abolished all opposing political parties, abolished freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, abolished the orthodox Christian church because they prayed for peace, and then abolished elections. But CNN call him a beacon of democracy. But eventually Zelensky will have to answer to the Ukrainian people, for what did a 1/2 million die for?

And he criticizes Vance for changing his mind and criticizing forever wars. And he believes in the free market economy, where every major industry is an oligopoly whose oligarchs donate massive sums to political campaigns so they get the laws they need to kill free market competition.

  17. It's very important for Ukraine to feel the Putin is bluffing. Ukraine knows that the US will not risk a nuke in DC over Ukraine. But if Ukrainian soldiers feel Putin will use nukes, they will walk away from the battle field and Putin will have won without actually using nukes. But if Putin is really about to lose I think he will. The neocon strategy is to wear Russia down militarily while the sanctions destroy Russia's economy. But it really looks like Europe will collapse long before Russia collapses. So Putin will likely not use nukes in the near term. Putin absolutely needs China's help. Energy sale to China has jumped and critical supplies such as semi-conductors have been pouring into Russia from China. Energy sales to India have exploded as well. The next war (economic one) is with China. And China would like Europe to suffer so Europe will not join the US in an economic war against China. The US bombing of NS-1 /2 will help in that regard. The US strategy of keeping the war going to eventually bleed Russia dry is turning into China and Russia's strategy to bleed Europe dry by keeping the war going.
