@stnln2180 According to Shaw, Lenin studied the works of Sydney Webb and “became a gradualist” after which he transformed Russian Socialism into Fabianism. Shaw declared that “Bolshevism became Fabianism, called Communism.”

You can't talk about that here

Oregon and a few other places have dropped reading requirements for high school graduation. America's competitors are laughing.

@richardavery4692 Why do you need to follow an economic model? Capitalism isn't an economic model, it's how humans naturally trade with each other free of constraints. Adam Smith wrote a description, not prescription. The only real rule is private property, concept that most animals seem to grasp in nature. It's probably an evolutionary advantageous idea

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” ― Henry Ford

Lee Majors, The Bionic 🏃Man™, made a movie about 15 minute cites and electric cars in the 1970's titled The Last Chase. Its predictions are so accurate, it's scary, almost like it's been planed, but not really.

Gnosticism is the root of modernity. Eric Voegelin argued that communism, alongside other modern ideologies like National Socialism and progressivism, can be understood as a form of secularized Gnosticism, essentially claiming that communism acts as a "religion of Gnosticism" by mirroring key Gnostic beliefs in a political context; particularly the idea of achieving a utopian "heaven on earth" through revolutionary action, rather than through traditional religious practices. Some of the beliefs of Gnosticism include: The god of the Old Testament is the devil Jesus is trying to liberate people from the god of the Old Testament Humans are Gods who need to realize their inherent Divinity The material cosmos is the result of a primordial error by a divine being

@Gary-zq3pz Black markets often have the death penalty

It was intentional and had to be done (the banks are out of money). But they couldn't go to congress and ask for $6 trillion like they did in 2008. As long as we can keep getting into wars we can keep the system pumped up and going, but there is no steady state in a pyramid/ponzi, it's inflate or collapse. Towards the end it becomes increasingly difficult to control; die by hyperinflation or die by depression. Dollars that aren't worth anything or no dollars, what is the difference?

Noah's Ark (anything goes) vs Tower of Babel (total control) biblical narratives

@sorrento114 The name did not make nazis socialist, their socialist policies did

Try Science, Politics and Gnosticism by Eric Voegelin for things I really wish I had known in high school. It's a very short and easy read.
4
both. There is more slavery today than in 1850...or in any time in history But that's OK because it's invisible🙈🙉🙊

@SaintKimbo In practice, communism is always feudalism. The state is the full owner of property just like the king

@Bgrosz1 You have to understand that 'success' as in raising people's lives is not the goal. Absolute equality in every metric is. If we're all digging in the mud to eat worms and there is no one on the planet in a higher class, then that is success. When everyone is a clone of everyone else, there can be no more envy and peace will ensue. It kinda makes sense in a grade school hypothetical understanding of reality. The revolution is to remove any inequality that can be found
3
Science Politics and Gnosticism goes into the details of this. Excellent and very short book, about 95 pages by an academic who studied totalitarian governments.

I have an alternative and I think more accurate, but closely related diagnosis/theory other than cultural Marxism, but the overlords here don't seem to like it 🤣
3
Why not ever? Probably because we are all equal. The worst is no recommendation on vitamin D. The FDA DOES recommend vit D for the prevention of respiratory disease, but failed to publicize this and told people to stay inside. So what if it doesn't help wit cv, it helps with pneumonia. Were the high risk groups intentionally targeted to not know this?

@haraldthi All of my jobs have been 90% OJT and maybe 5% stuff I learned at university

Decaying dead wood and grass releases the exact same amount of CO2 as burning dead wood and drying grass, it only takes longer

Best episode yet

@DadSavesAmerica Deflation is the natural state of the human condition. Inflation is a necessary requirement of using debt as money. You pay off debt with more debt (and more debt to repay that debt (and more debt to repay that debt (and more debt to repay that debt (and more debt ...)))). This is the reason for war and pandemics; they inject a lot of stimulus into the system when the system starts running low on money. The system ran out of money in 2008 and again in 2019-2020 (repocalypse).

@user-ci2fd8vc2f Adrenalin rush in a fight or flight survival situation. Two decades into it you should have gathered enough evidence to re-examine you situation. Lining in a constant state of fear is some kind of neurosis.

@SkillofAttraction A Brave New World is the vision of the future, not 1984

Morley Winograd, education advisor to Al Gore, wrote a white paper (that no longer appears on the web) about why millennials should not be taught critical thinking, but instead taught how to rely on 'trusted sources' like google and peers.

Marx knew it was always a swindle, but it worked well for his financial supporters. It was always their goal to be world rulers. For good reasons in their minds - efficient resource utilization and no more wars.
3
why? Have you read much of the actual ideology that they published themselves?
3
@maxrobespierre9176 Captured implies intent by a capturer, while broken can have many reasons.

That is a big rabbit hole: 🤐

@sigurdholbarki8268 tikhistory has a map of the flow of ideologies that clearly shows this, 'Where do our modern ideologies come from? (Timeline Map)'

🤣

Hitler. Anybody remember the Hitler youth?
3
@mattschrader5047 Marx was a theologian, not an economist. /communism is the utopia state (heaven on Earth) that is arrived at through the struggle of Socialism and human nature is reprogrammed. Man perfecting himself. And There is no limit to the amount of eggs that must be broken towards the great sacred omelette In secret though, it's all about reasserting a monarchy to be governed over by Plato's Philosopher Kings, the ideal form of government

@ads3-1.0 Memorizing and quoting from The Holy Grail is a requirement for any tech degree. 🤣

@ They won't let me say. I'm surprised that you can see that post.

Why, he hasn't said anything other than opinion. Are you saying that we shouldn't trust that he is being honest about his opinions?

I've been trying to talk abut exactly this for years, but this is the most xrd subject.

And Christianity has it's foundations in and the morality of Judaism. Socialism, National Socialism and Communism are competing religions/world views. You can't simultaneously own nothing and thou shall not steal.

Just make people who do not believe it read their funding principles in their own words. It my help to not tell them who wrote them

You can learn anything on the internet. 1 guy in his kitchen 1 million student learners. Change my mind
3
@wtice4632 They do. That's what the framers of the constitution said and warned about. The state will always grow, consolidate and seek power.
