“Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.” ― Joseph Goebbels

Not really, they want you DEPENDENT

If it's not redeemable, it's fake.
27
Oh no....people will have to rely on each other and not the government? Does that mean I have to stop being a dick to other people if I'm worried that I may someday have to rely on them?

If homelessness were solved, then the people getting paid billions of dollars to solve it would be out of work and soon be homeless themselves. And nobody wants that.
7
It's the best way to prevent the accumulation of wealth ensuring that you'll never be free. My friend lamented after moving out of their apartment of 15 years they had nothing to show for it and could have paid off a retirement house, but now has to continue to work.

@SuperCulverin national socialism IS a religion and he was one of the high priests
5
Pharmacology and propaganda will make the masses love their slavery.
5
Yes, other people have been saying this for years. Pyramid schemes have two modes of operation, growth or collapse. It's just math.
5
Not specifically government, but monopolistic control. Of which government has.
4
$14M? 200 families? That's $70,000 per family. That is more than what I paid for my permanent forever house a decade ago and 2-3 times what I paid for my house before that 15 years ago.

"deflation is normally a positive feature of a healthy, growing economy that reflects technological progress, increasing abundance, and rising standards of living. "

And people will have lost what skills they may have had. The soviet union did not have ubi, but they had guaranteed jobs you could not be fired from. I saw first hand how utterly destructive that was so society. You end up in a place where very few people care, everybody is meh, they pretend to pay us and we pretend to work. Life holds together for a little while because the older generation is instilled with the old values from birth and it is instinctive, but after that it falls apart within 4 generations. And you can't go back. I'm sure there are other countries willing and able to take over for the US.

And they are all into eugenics. What could go wrong? The economist John Maynard Keynes, director of the British Eugenics Society, wrote "the most important and significant branch of sociology". I think he also hassomething to do with the modern global financial system,

strangest = not natural = controlled

@loggerchadwake7141 If you are dependent on the government to feed you, they can coerce you into doing what they want you to do. Vote for me or the other guy will take away your farm subsidies.
3
Didn't FDR arbitrarily set the price of gold at $20.67 per ounce? Reset it to $2M/oz.
3
@kleocatra9675 You said if they didn't have money they didn't buy? I don't understand. Can you explain it like I am five? Do you mean they bought something they wanted and hoped to pay for it later?
3
Keynes was a huge proponent of eugenics and was even president of the eugenics society.

What isn't being done on purpose?

Join a self sufficient commune. Land is still cheap. Growing food is not that hard if you have help. And self sufficiency is a rewarding life.
2
And over charges for food. #LearnToCook

@stevencooper4422 At $1,842,000 / ozt, that is $472 trillion, enough to pay off all debt and derivatives. https://usdebtclock.org/
2
The shutdown goal was to "flatten he curve" to prevent the hospitals from being overwhelmed not to stop the spread. The spread cannot be stopped until enough people are immune.
2
SS is out of monet and they were about to be wiped out in the UK which is why the boe caituated. The world is stuck between pensions and hyperinflation. Pick one
2
@DrunkQueer Currency. You have to be able to take $100 in USD paper into the banks and get $100 worth of gold. That's to keep them honest, otherwise they could give out more currency than they have money. Currency is a receipt for the gold, but much easier to carry. It doesn't matter what is used for money, just that it is something physical and tangible, even crypto if it cannot be created out of nothing.
2
Actually, they do not want people to be able to accumulate wealth. No dollars, inflation, ban bitcoin and PMs, no assets. Complete control. Most people want to be controlled so the are OK with this.
2
Money as debt was a demand of Marx for socialism
2
Or just ignore it
2
The dollar used to repay the debt must also be borrowed ad infinitum and requires exponential (and infinite growth). No matter how small that growth it. 1.02^t, 2% growth, looks linear and manageable for the 1st 50 years or so. And even though the line starts to go vertical, it's still a small 2% growth. This infinite growth is the foundation of socialism. Most people do not have an intuition for exponentials.
2
@A-RonHubbard Fiat money is a requirement of socialism according to Marx.
2
@sharoncrawford3042 All of western civilization.

@Zorlig Not if your asset is not worth what it claims to be worth
1
It's not capitalist, it's Fabian socialist. It's in their plan, even in The Communist Manifest that nobody reads.
1
The Fed was pushing the lockdowns. They also did more harm than good according to most evidence

Bullion has not dropped much. Still above $1900

They can mint a few $10T palladium coins and pay of the debt instantly.
1
@Liberty-tn3rs Yup. George Gammon has an in depth analisys of doing this on one of his videos.
1
Government will pay for it all

Why don't you see these things coming from people on welfare?
1
Life has changed 0% for me in the last two years.
1
Neither us the extrinsic value of a dollar. Paper aeroplane? Wallpaper? The value is what you think other people will trade it for. I don't expect the person I trade a silver dollar with will make a necklace out of it, but I expect that he will accept it because the person he trades with will accept it.
