Democracy will really have to end, because you can't have people who are entirely dependent on the state in charge of the government budget, so we'll need a self proclaimed benevolent technocratic elite (in reality violently authoritarian and dystopian) ruling over a massive neo feudal peasantry, constantly trying to fend off some sort of neo-communist revolution through a mixture of manipulation and propaganda, and suppression of dissent. Live in your pod, ride the electric bus, eat your bug burgers, watch netflix have (birth controlled) meaningless sex with strangers and make sure to spend all of your "UN credits", because they expire at the end of every week. Overall, just no.

Yep, and the native population would also not be falling so fast if there was access to lots of cheap large family homes and declining real estate prices, since would discourage using real estate as a speculative investment and allow young people the space to start families. And yes, corporations socialize the cost of immigration (taxpayers fund the public services, schools, policing etc that low paid immigrants use), while privatizing the profits from their cheap labor) What matters is increasing GDP per capita, not GDP; every new immigrant that earns less than X amount (and it's a pretty high amount, 75% of the existing US population receive more in govt spending than they pay in taxes) is lowering GDP per capita, even if they raise overall GDP.
