I often see this ridiculous excuse from Europeans on sites like reddit and twitter, where they say "hurr hurr but we hava superior "lifestyle" to America, so it doesn't matter that we're getting relatively poorer year after year. Well, the number of people who leave Europe for America every year is much higher than those going the other way, so people are voting with their feet.

Firstly, learn to count, the fact that the Brexit party won 31% doesn't mean everyone else wanted remain. Approx 35% total voted for parties that officially support remain, while 58% voted for parties that officially support Brexit, and even if you remove Labour and put it to one side from that number, 44% voted for Brexit supporting parties, again, higher than those who voted for remain supporting parties.

Yep, the whole way parliament functions (the public doesn't seem to understand) is that the entire office of "whip" exists to force MPs to do what they're told by the leadership (which is not how Parliament was ever meant to work), right up to the fact that it is standard for whips to assemble blackmail material against MPs that is held in reserve until a particularly important vote that they won't go along with, at which point it is used to force them to vote a certain way.

I'm open minded, I think the people who joined in in the witch hunt of her prosecution and assumed her guilt were wrong, and I think the people who now assume her innocence and a coverup aren't necessarily right either. As a non expert I just don't know. But in the interests of justice she deserves to go the Court of Appeal if there's any possibility of her innocence. If she does turn out to be innocent it will be a staggering indictment of everyone involved in pinning everything on her though.

He's right about the McCann thing, AMerican academics have worked out that a lot of the woke stuff there started when the generation raised by people scared by news of child abductions etc started going to school and university, and had not been socialized in an environment free of "adult supervision". They basically always wanted a "mummy" authority figure to solve every problem, rather than being able to sort things out themselves. (as opposed to the older environment where kids went off by themselves and had to learn to resolve disputes between themselves, not to "tell on" each other etc.

  49. The whole thing is a scam. You could buy a thousand high quality off the shelf DJI drones for a million quid. You could pay a thousand operators to sit in an office and fly them up and down the coast for about 40 million quid a year. That's 1/10th of the cost and there wouldn't be a single thing happening on that coastline without you being able to see it in HD video before it happened. The idea that we could send them 400 million quid and this is the best they could do with it is a joke.
