How many of the people replying to the surveys saying they support sending British "peacekeepers" to Ukraine know that the Russians have been crystal clear that they will treat any NATO troops entering the country as enemy combatants and strike them the moment they cross the border?

For example, the host says "but they had a David Attenborough article therefore the Sun is ok because it supports climate change activism now" rather than just saying that the existence of successful newspapers is not evidence that we don't have a free press since a free press is defined as having the ability to start your own outlet without being censored. You're free to start your own newspaper, newspaper owners are free to publish what they like and the public are free to decide what to read.

This is the trouble with both the mainstream left and right, the left will let the unions run riot under a nationalized British rail, while the right let the corporate monopolies run riot under privatization. A genuinely nationalist government would do something like nationalize the railways, then ban union membership by rail workers (like the army and police aren't allowed to be members of unions). The rail system should be run in the national interest, not in the interest of either private corporations OR unions.

  41. There was a peace treaty a month into the war that Russia was willing to sign, that required nothing more than Ukraine not joining NATO, and the West told the Ukrainians not to sign it. I see very little evidence that the Tories have any interest in taking on and beating the left in almost any area of society except for keeping corporate taxes and regulations low (which is really liberalism and not inherently right wing anyway). We have basic equality before the law we don't need anything else, a genuinely right wing government would abolish the "Minister for Women and Equalities", and every other "equalities" quango or ministry, and every single job related to "diversity" etc. Instead we had a Tory Prime Minister who explicitly supported this insane leftist ideology in the form of Theresa May (remember her feminism t-shirt, support for the insance "gender recognition act" etc?)
