@MisterW0lfe " they believe it will work " I think they are correct, too. Most people simply want to get along. They don't want to argue about everything all the time, so we are prone to adopt a dominant view. This way we can agree on something and get things done instead of endlessly fighting out all the minutia and pulling the cart in all different directions. Propaganda and censorship abuses this tendency. Propaganda tells you what the dominant view is supposed to be, censorship makes sure you never learn about the other side, so we all agree to do what we are told to do and think how we are told to think. And that's very useful think to have...

@cmbbfan78 Propaganda and censorship are two sides of the same coin. Propaganda tells you what the dominant view is supposed to be, censorship makes sure it will never be challenged. Since people just want to get along, they adopt those views, and that's how a lie repeated 1000 times becomes truth.

@ArturHedlund " People being opress always want to be freed. " No. That's simply false. People want to live their lives in peace and safety. Freedom does not promise any of that, does it? When I grew up, there was a whole genre in literature which basically despaired over this indifference to the concept of freedom. The elites were more frustrated with this indifference then the general populace with their oppression. Only when the promises of peace and safety obviously failed, only then the general public became slightly annoyed, hence exploitable by the activists, who were exploited themselves by the opposing power. You see, USSR and its empire was internally stable. Without outside interference, it could go on forever. Believing in dreams is not the way to defeat a powerful and well prepared enemy.

" Censorship never succeeds in changing minds. " Why would they push for it so hard, then? If if doesn't work, what's the point?

@ArturHedlund I live in Poland. No ideas formed, until the price of bread went up. Then the "ideas formed", but they still managed to control the movement by placing his own puppet on top of it. He even received a Nobel peace price, the scoundrel. Those are the facts. Don't expect it's gonna be any easier. Actually, I predict worse.

@ArturHedlund How do you want to oppose an enemy, you deem powerless from the get go? Until you recognize his strengths, and yes, weaknesses, you gonna get squashed. Only once you know him, you can see his works and predict his next movement. Only once you know him, you can see how extremely precarious his position really is. Only then you can see his fear. The fear of you. Pretending that he's weak where he's really strong (re: people still oppose) is simply stupid.

@ArturHedlund I know, because I lived through a fall of such a system. It's not all roses, mind you... But yes. It will fall.

@michaelforansich8090 Thank you very much. The way I see it, is that the fight is barely starting. They got us with our pants down and they are winning now. It's likely they will keep on winning for a while, because most people don't understand how vile the human soul can get. Eventually they will lose. It's gonna get very ugly beforehand, though...

@edvaneckert2348 It's never too late.

You still don't understand. Hitler must be mad, or his racial hatred could be rational. We can't have that! That'd be a thoughtcrime, if I ever saw one.

@cmbbfan78 You explain how it's done, not why it's done. Why would they go for it, if it does not work?
