  2. Damn, I guess it wasn't that bad. I feel kind of the same way about the new Hocus Pocus. I guess that one poked fun at men a bit, but more in a silly and not mean-spirited way. I also really liked the theme of sisterhood and friendship, and getting the old cast back together with good songs and jokes was great. It was obvious people really cared about that movie.

  5. I remember not liking the message back when I found out about Avatar and then saw it, but I have to admit that the visuals were unlike anything before it ever. Setting aside everything else, from a technical standpoint it was phenomenal. So I suppose it grossing so much shouldn't make us feel totally bad...

  6. I think some things could have worked, because being over the top was one of the best things about the original Independence Day. A ship on the same scale of the Earth and fighters flying through space could have been amazing. It's too bad so much other stuff torpedoed what this could have been...
