During this pandemic, many politicians are looking to increase immigration for political reasons. The reason why Trump and other polarizing political figures get elected is because the voter base feels disenfranchised. They feel that the virtue signaling politicians are putting the needs of foreign nationals ahead of their needs. And they’re correct. Seeking asylum is only legal if done at a port of entry. The needs of Americans should be met before the needs of illegal immigrants.
