Why not let one billion people in, or how about two billion? We are a sovereign nation and have the right to control the influx of immigrants. People have the misconception that ICE are intentionally torturing people in an inhuman way. I call that BS. It is a matter of money. We can not afford to put all asylum seekers in 5 star hotels and limousines. We have homeless and needy citizens that need help, and should be prioritized. Congrats on your citizenship by the way. They are not perfect due to surges in incoming migrants (another reason for needed controls), but they are not the horror shows the politicians paint them to be.
