It was like being mildly hung over for a couple of months, just very draining and hard work to focus on anything for extended periods. Luckily I bounced back to full health. I hope you see some light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Despite kids being very likely at more risk from the vax than from the virus, except those with pre-existing conditions - the fear campaign did a number on worried mothers. I got it too, under duress. Because the fear made my kids' mother hysterical and I was threatened with access to my kids being revoked if I didn't. I'm a separated dad. I won't mock those who took it - there were many reasons why people did.

I mean I've felt shit on and off over the last year... I might have had long covid but I'm more inclined to think it's the psychological effects of the whole situation.

  31. I had it too - under duress. 2 vaccines and a booster. So there's not much we can do about it. I think the risk of getting ill from it in the short term is low - my worry is we'll only start seeing the result many years from now. Personally I'm as fit as ever now a year after my last one, so I just count my blessings.

  37. Since a large number of people are asymptomatic then I fail to see how we can have any idea of the infection rate. And as Dr Campbell has just corrected the official figures with the more reliable app data - showing there are potentially double the infections - can we also assume based on that that the virus is half as deadly as we're being told?

  41.  @jamesthecat  We're talking about Omicron, which is now well known to be very mild and most doctors will admit it is a positive thing to see the whole population immunised this way. And to add a little context - during this interview, the video feed of Mr Bourla, Pfizer CEO, shared the screen with a big green ticker of Pfizer's stock price, which seemed to be shooting up as he spoke. This is the same executive by the way who cashed out a nice Christmas bonus of $5.6m from his personal stock just after they announced the vaccines toward the end of 2020. I know you won't insult my intelligence by expecting me to believe that public health is his primary motivation.
