Of course this is a generalization... But men, MUCH more than women, admire other men who are more successful than themselves - we ASPIRE. We do not ENVY in the way that women do. Like I said this is a generalization.

  8. That early question: can you work extremely hard and still come out on the wrong side of things... I would think this is most people, myself included 😂 Having said that, there is the notion of the "busy fool" where you can work extremely hard but not always focus that effort in the most effective area or just not value the work you do highly enough and sell yourself short. Which is also a fault of mine.

  9. Personally I think about what will make a more enjoyable world for everyone. But recently it seems the folk on the right have a much better grasp on what that means than the left do. It's possible to objectively weigh up the facts and use that information to choose your tribe.

  18. Something's bothering me about his videogames/coffee date study. There's a lot more that discerns a person's preferred videogame than just the violence. It's as if this guy thinks there are two types of games, violent ones and non violent ones. There's a lot more depth here than that. Sure, the player who prefers playing CoD is a completely different animal to the player who prefers Flight Simulator, but I don't think violence is the main factor in that choice.

  25. We don't need to all become hunters, that is unfeasible. We just need to support a culture of locally reared and butchered meat. Which we will have to pay more for and eat less of. But we'll need less of it because it will be a much better product. The chance of this happening is almost zero.
