  16. The noticeable absence of any major media covering this is, as usual, very telling. Nothing other than niche YouTube Channels. If it was a bunch of white British men fighting you can imagine the front page headlines about "Far Right Thugs" and how we need to crack down on toxic masculine violence. But in this case it's literally crickets. It's become a trope these days that if you don't immediately hear about the ethnicity of the wrong-doer in the story, then you can be sure which ethnicity he was not. That's if you hear the story at all.

  22. I'm not sure that reparations would quite have the effect they think. I'd expect a huge degree of resentment, fuelling an increase in racism, plus a general feeling of "We paid you so we're all square now" whenever these issues are brought up. I think there will be an expectation that we no longer hear the constant crowing of the left about oppression and there will be an intolerance for hearing it.

  40.  @nathanlopez3918  I thought you were contradicting him. He said there were a million black people living in London, which would be 13% of the city or thereabouts, so he's correct. He didn't say anything about the general population. You are correct as well, there certainly are black people in the crowds - but Simon's point is valid. Judging by a variety of photos I'd say 90% of the people in those crowds are white, despite being less than half of London's population.
