  2. ​ @bdenbhurrito  My conclusion is what what she said wasn't really all that bad. I'm white and wasn't offended by it - rather it's a very weak point that's all. Her opinion really, no hate or bigotry against ANY of the groups she mentioned. Not even the group who the media are by far the most protective of.

  20. Nick doesn't know what the figures are, but he knows which figures she should know. I mean she doesn't even need to know them. She need only tell one of her aides she will be doing an interview and give her a printout of all the figures she might need to know so she can dumbly trot them out on demand. This should be really basic stuff for a minister whose job essentially is waffling hot air.

Completely forgetting that a biological brain and a computer are running on entirely different hardware. I've heard Penrose many times say there must be something much deeper going on in the brain in the quantum functions of each neuron. Now I don't know if this is the case or not but it seems absurd to me to suggest anything running at a GPU farm can be conscious and have an "experience of being" like an animal does.

  29. We can't replicate a human brain in AI. AI runs on silicon technology. Until we know exactly how consciousness emerges in a human brain and can build a copy of it in the same materials, then I'm sorry but we have not replicated either the human brain or consciousness.

Which we were cheering on Rishi for doing when he gave us a year's paid holiday in 2020, all the time expecting that our children would end up paying it through the normal process of inflation. As it turns out, the amount of money injected into the economy was so epic that the bill has come due after 2 years instead of 20.
