Constantly balancing income with expenses, a single expense away from losing their homes and zero ability to negotiate their pay. Socialist policies are currently the ones keeping people fed. There is nothing capitalist about government programs.

I knew some US air force people stationed in the UK growing up. She was pregnant and would always go to the on-base military provided healthcare facilities for checkups. It wasn't until she went into labour that she was forced to use a British hospital. Apparently they spend the better part of a 3 days worrying about the cost, and even stopped at the desk on the way out to inquire about the bill. It took over a year and an actual forced hospital visit before they understood that the visit would be free.

There are also plenty of example of people applying to hundreds of jobs and only getting a single offer, then taking it. Comparing this clearly disproportionately weighted system to a democracy is a joke. Yes, democracies give the people power to decide who represents them. Businesses without democracy do not give people that. Worker cooperatives already exist, and work using this exact premise.

It's a testament to the sheer inequality of capitalism that all the systems currently in place to improve equality and give people basic human rights are working in direct conflict of capitalism. Every single government aid program or workers rights initiative has at some point been actively attacked by capitalists, all the way back to the New Deal critics consisting of GM, Sun Oil, Montgomery Ward, and a range of other corporate puppets under the likes of the du Pont family, the Koch brothers and a host of others.

If any of them had a spine, instead of rate increases we would see higher corporate and high income taxes, the closing of tax loopholes, and more progressive tax systems.

Denmark has a top tax of over 50%, as does Sweden. They also guarantee healthcare, which is just a tax on the middle class in the US. You also ignore the capital gains tax rate, which allows the rich to pay a lower effective tax rate, making the progressive tax system decidedly less progressive.

Instead the likes of Apple can pay using the over $100 billion in profits they made. And don't lie about taxes on profits being passed to consumers. Since taxes are after expenses there is nothing to pass down. They already paid for everything before tax. Executive Officers would however pay more tax if the capital gains was changed. But keep going with your strawman and illogical nonsense.
