Some claim as many as 60 in 70 inmates in their cells were not gang members, and the 10 actual gang members got special treatment, while the wrongly imprisoned are regularly beaten and denied basic needs. As for corruption, the current regime is corrupt, that's the issue.

Obama was reducing the defificit while also improving the economy including household income, after the absolute disaster that was Bush. Trump on the other hand ruined Obama's economy, massively increasing the deficit and increased unemployment to the highest level in decades. So thanks Obama for at least setting the country on the right path, even of Republicans feel the need to ruin it again.

  16. It's a representative democracy. When it was founded the vast majority of the nation couldn't vote, meaning it was anything but a democracy, which was obviously intentional as the idea of people voting didn't sit well with the rich white men who made it so that only other rich white men could vote. As voting has become more of a right, the US has become more democratic as a result.
