  6.  @unamcgurry6875  The people being let in are asylum seekers. They are being tested and processed at 3 different border crossings over the course of over a month. I would be shocked if in that process they are not being tested for covid. This has nothing to do with European immigration policy, which costs thousands of dollars and doesn't allow those seeking asylum to get the help they need.

Meanwhile in reality, the border is not open, it is just as restricted as it has always been. Apprehensions are at a high. The only difference is we stopped separating families from each other, and restarted the asylum program that Trump tried to end. I'm not sure why you're against asylum seekers or feel that a group of people that on average contribute more into the economy than they take out don't deserve to be here, but that's just typical for someone closing the door behind them isn't it.

Rent Control only causes housing shortages because it keeps housing affordable and reduces the number of houses on the market, because people DON'T become homeless. Rent control has nothing to do with new construction, and every city, county and state in this nation should be making cheap affordable housing en masse, but the US is so embroiled in the suburban housing structure that it's impossible for many to find anything. Also weird you attack blue states when the states with all the worst stats are red.
