@Hindutvaiscringe Democracy is not subjective. There is nothing socialist about North Korea.
2
Probably because you're spewing nonsense. Crossdressing wasn't promoted, it was prosecuted. Churches were not all destroyed, not even close. That workers union wasn't a union at all once they lose their ability to actually argue about anything. Religion was also not banned. In fact many of the Nazi party members were religious. And Hitler was indeed a fan of monarchy, considering he elevated himself to such status. Hitler also openly spoke about being a Christian in several speeches, and even openly called himself a catholic in 1941.
2
@bustercrabbe8447 If by "socialistic" you mean central planning, then it would be central planning, or a planned economy.
2
@bustercrabbe8447 That's not the definition of socialism. Socialism requires social control, which mean the people have either ownership or control over the means of production. That has nothing to do with government control. By your definition market socialism isn't real socialism.
2
@bustercrabbe8447 Nope. Market socialism has plenty of free market. Trying to redefine socialism out of existence isn't an argument.
2
@bustercrabbe8447 It's not a controlled economy. Market socialism is just where all the companies are cooperatives. They are not controlled by government.
2
@bustercrabbe8447 Cooperatives decide their own leadership. They are not directed by the outside.
2
@bustercrabbe8447 Like any business.
2
@bustercrabbe8447 Yes, like a capitalist business. They still have a free market, but the company is controlled by the workers. In fact any business in the US with only a single owner/employee, such as self-employed plumbers, carpenters, tilers et cetera already functions this way.
2
@oscartang4587u3 They can't, since they never achieved social ownership of anything.
2
@oscartang4587u3 Then it doesn't become socialist.
2
There is nothing left wing about a bunch of capitalists owning slaves.
2
@Guwang_Yoo No it isn't. Worker cooperatives are a form of common ownership and they require zero state control. Libertarian socialism is a thing you know. If we equate socialism with state control then why even bother inventing socialism? It was theorised in direct contrast to monarchies, systems with massive state control.
2
@colebehnke7767 Being anti-capitalist does not make him a socialist. That is a false dichotomy.
2
@ExPwner Silly Ben. Deficit spending is poor government policy.
2
@ExPwner Nice no argument.
2
@ExPwner Was. Cry more.
2
@colebehnke7767 Lol what? No, it's not. It's state capitalism.
2
Syndicalism is the idea that unions can change government policy through strike actions. State unions are toothless hollow shells, hardly fit to be called unions at all, especially once their right to collectively bargain was removed.
2
Except none of those were socialist.
2
@oscartang4587u3 Um no. You went over Italian Fascism and how it grew originally from revolutionary syndicalism before being pushed towards a non-democratic right-wing nationalism. Italy was not the only country with a revolutionary syndicalism movement, even your own description fails to explain the full depths of the revolutionary syndicalist ideology. So do you want to try again?
2
@houndoftindalos9580 Haven't you heard? Selling off government assets is socialism according to these clowns.
2
@ExPwner Step 1, get the definition of socialism wrong. Step 2, push everything into your wrong definition.
2
@ExPwner Oh look, the libertarian supports the idea from the other libertarian that all forms of government are socialism. Shocking.
2
@quinmullen7666 And a republic. No 75 year monarchy here....
2
@malokk5773 Yeah, it is. Socialism has never and will never be equal to state control. Even TIKs own sources show the need for "common" and "social" control, meaning control by the community, not control by the state. Under TIKs new definition there is no need for socialist thinkers at all. Monarchies already existed. Socialism also doesn't require state control, it can be done via cooperatives through market socialism. Market socialism has a free market and zero state ownership of production.
2
@in39484 Again, socialism is not just state ownership, it is societal ownership. If you define socialism as state ownership then market socialism isn't actually socialism.
2
@in39484 Nope, only social. That can be through the state, but it still has to fundamentally be societal, or social ownership or control.
2
@in39484 All socialism, market included.
2
@in39484 Lassalle argues for social programs and worker cooperatives. Cooperatives give control over to the people, while social programs provide human rights.
2
@colebehnke7767 Wouldn't they be synchronised under the state already?
2
@colebehnke7767 Got it, so they hate society.
2
@Harrier_DuBois Cliffnotes: TIK is a libertarian and claims that any form of government ownership or control in any form is socialism. That's it, that's the video.
2
@paxtoncargill4661 The state is only a representation of the will of the people in a democracy. None of these fit that description.
2
@TheImperatorKnight Yeah, total bollocks mate. He literally rigged the elections and forced the nation into a 1-party state. No amount of revisionist history will change that.
2
@TheImperatorKnight Those ideas are entirely contradictory. Democracy is, as you said, people power. Totalitarianism is about power over people, the exact opposite. Your confusion lies in your indoctrination. Put simply, you don't actually know what democracy is to such an extent that you think people = state.
2
Yes, he does believe North Korea is a democracy.
2
@oscartang4587u3 This video. A comment around 3 months ago, @mcjagergaming commented "Nazi party was literally know as the Nationalist Socialist Party." I responded by pointing out that North Korea calls themselves a democracy, and TIK responded with: "North Korea is a democracy" and a link to one of his videos. Find it yourself.
2
@oscartang4587u3 Aside from the fact that that is a different comment, he is also wrong. People power is not state power. He is directly arguing that more totalitarian states are MORE democractic. This makes zero sense.
2
@oscartang4587u3 Except state power is only representative of people in a democracy. It's circular reasoning. Again, this still means he thinks North Korea is a democracy.
2
@colebehnke7767 "Thus any country that derives its right to rule form the power of the people is a democracy." Correct. "Voting is not required for a country to say it derives its right to rule form the people." Also correct. Unfortunately, what countries SAY is not necessarily true. They can claim whatever they want, they are however wrong. For a country to say it gets it's power from the people there is no requirement at all, they could just be lying. But for them to actually give their people power they MUST have democracy. There is no other mechanism that gives power to the people.
2
@misterauctor7353 Then why do his own sources, that he openly displays on the screen, disagree with him?
2
@misterauctor7353 TIK claimed that both Wikipedia and Karl Marx claimed that socialism is the same as government control, yet both the sources he displays explain a very important caveat, which is the requirement for social control, or common control as Marx called it, something that is impossible without democracy. So in reality TIK was just a fascist and never really understood socialism. He also claims North Korea is a democracy, so obviously his views on defintions of words are questionable at best, and incredibly dangerous at worst.
2
So people pointing out how marginalised communities gave been oppressed for generations is the same as literal ethnic cleansing. Okay buddy.
2
@colebehnke7767 Total nonsense. Social justice is a human rights issue. I know you love to think that everyone is just as bigoted as you deep down, but in reality society has had a massive shift in the last few generations.
2
@colebehnke7767 Nope. I wouldn't benefit personally from leftists policies at all, but it's the moral thing to do so there really is no choice. Many poorer, dumber people vote right wing as well, usually because they're bigots.
2
@lewconstantine4888 The workers are not the state, that's just stupid.
2
@misterauctor7353 I did. TIK is wrong. All of his own sources disagree with him, including his defintion of socialism. There is nothing communist about China, China is state capitalism, just like all totalitarian regimes.
2
@ExPwner Good point, TIK is a total clown. All libertarians are.
2
@TheImperatorKnight This was absolutely not syndicalism. None of the members of these "unions" had any say in anything.
