@Gandhi_Physique true, but we can dissolve everything else that is edible on an animal, and we have a lousy PH for dealing with plants.
When we eat meat even gristle, it is dissolved within a coupløe of hours, and is very available for absorbtion when it goes through the small intestine.
However, when we add plantfibers to that, it slows everything down severely, and the fibers also block a lot of the nutrients from ever reaching the intestinewall where it should have been absorbed,
That is how fiber began being recomended for people that gained too much weight.. add fiber and you sbsorb less of what you eat.. you also stuff yourself with inedible stuff, making you feel fill, even when there is nothing more than bloating going on.
